Traditional Culture City Jeonju Tour /

Letter from a Tour Writer

I am a tour writer Lee Dong-mi. Whenever traveling I would have this or that thought and imagination as a writer whenever in touring. Jeonju City hugsembraces me with powerful imagination and curious curiosityas were. As I walking along the Taejo-ro connectinged ahead to Gyeounggijeon, my knapsack already becomestoa traveler's packagecaring an my back and my kKorean full-dress attire that of the lower edges were wavingesbyin the wind. Yet when I met arrive at the Yangsajae gate which I were favored, I become brave in thought and to say : "ComeGo on here! Send my message! " I“I am passing here as a stranger and wantd to lodge" Being allowed a room by the gate-boy, I fall asleep exhausted after take off kKorean socks. A Ppapered a sliding door and its sliding frames the and dimlyinfiltrating sunlightbeams and the floor of a Korean veranda... oin the refined brass wares is neatly contained foodsand afor breakfast table perfectly to my satisfactionsatisfied me.

Kind The well prepared and and evenbalanced enough meal wereas taken, and then after climbing up to Oomokdae, I recited a poem,or (shijo,) and from here I I have a bird’s eye view of sighted Jeonju City. And tThen I visited the Hanji factory, there I bought some Hanji; then struttedover to Taejo-ro.

Even I even became an admirer of moviesmania and Makgeolri. When I ran to Gosa-dong, I amwas happy all day long as I selected movies just as selecting ice-cream to suit tomy tastes.

Then, after sun set, I ran out to Samchun-dong. Having eaten popcorn My mouth has eaten pop-corn

proudly just before, soon the muddy taste of Makgeolri has stimulated my appetite againfrom a muddy taste of Makgeolri. The sound of Ppouring sound of Makgeolri;,col-col-col-colthe glug, glug, glug sound is most lovely then others.

When cCommon peoples' hearts have crackled as if burned by wood burns, it cools their heart and hugs tearings their mind by each bowel and make one's nose soing naturally.

Jeonju, likely made me male from female to at the time of Choseon, changed me to an elegant movie maniafan, and reversed my taste to drink that which I was not allowed to drink in my early youngyouth. When I met with Jeonju bibimbap, refreshing kongnamulgukbap and moju(母酒), I would become a protagonists of Seongchan and Jinsuoo in comics funnies, and I also become a photographister in Jeon-dong Cathedral. When and wherever, I would like to be headedon to this Ccity.

The day is getting cloudy, it will be soon rain; these days you may phone call on your friends, " Hey, Let u’s blow off some steamunburden for drinking somea bowl of Makgeolri, because it has been a long time since we did so!!"

It was where the originated of Choseon Choson Dynasty originated. It hadheld four gates- next to Seoul in at the time of the Choseon DynastyChoson. At present, Wandongmuoon is located nearly in the center of between bookstore street and Dong-boou Market (Dongmooun crossroads), and from this place the a castle was built except for Gyeonggijeon, or Nammuoon from Pungnammuoon at present. And then from the Daga-dong police box made PeSseomouon accordingfollowing to Namboou Market road connecteding with the castle; and another castle was built along the front road of the Cinema theater and at the byway of the present five-way crossing (Bokmooun platform) which leads to Bukmooun and it connects to Dongmooun - This is the very Jeonju castle. The Jeonju door plate that was written with grace and elegance, and even sufficiently written by in Hangeul,Korean word 'Jeonju' is the work of calligrapher and pProf. Yeo Tae-Myeong (Wongang University.) written by a style of the common people (Korean styled word named it first by him, and it was written byin Korean style for the letters or for thewhen translating Chinese storiesybyin the Jeonju Dynasty).

It has containsed much meanings. The entrance and the way out doorexit plates are viewed similar, however, that of entrance consonant word is rather smaller but that of vowel is larger, but on the the way out it one is quite different.
