Scope of Work

The Town of Wainwright is inviting Contractors to express interest in furnishing equipment related to the support the flood control project in the Town of Wainwright on an as need basis. Included in the scope of services is landscaping, geotextile installation, pipeline inlet and outlet interfaces, gabion rock outfall installation, rock armor installation, gravity feed and force main pipeline installation, concrete work including outfalls onto water bodies and at grade pad development.

Description of Work

This site requires a local contractor who is able to supply the necessary equipment and skilled labor to support the major contractors of the Town of Wainwright Flood Control Project, within 24 hours of request.

Landscaping including contouring and hydro seeding of ditches, pipeline/ditch interfaces will be required throughout the project as will installation of geotextile materials within constructed storm sewer and flood control ditches. The project also requires interface work with respect to transitioning from ditch to pipeline including pipe grate installation, contouring and seeding.

The contractor must have the ability to successfully install at grade ditching lined with rock armor.

The contractor must have the ability to install gravity feed and force main pipelines.

Throughout the project cast in place manholes will be required. The contractor must have the ability to supply the required equipment to successfully complete the installation of the cast in place manholes.

The project requires the development of multiple at grade earthen pads to be developed to facilitate trenchless crossings.

The contractor may be required to provide equipment and operators competent and experienced in the installation of concrete outfalls onto existing water bodies. This specialized work will require personnel competent in concrete, rebar, welding, and other works associated with the successful installation of a stormwater outfall onto an existing water body.

Specifications of Work

The work will include supplying and operating the following equipment which will be used to support the construction of the flood control project. The estimated construction timeline for this work item is August 1, 2016 to January 1, 2019; Contractor will honor the quoted unit rate for the duration of the construction timeline (no price change up to January 1, 2019). Each piece of equipment shall be entered on the unit pricing sheet with make/model and all-inclusive hourly rate (including fuel, maintenance, operator, etc), Each equipment type should include a range of sizes (ie. small, medium, large classifications) for each equipment type as follows:

Other equipment not listed can be submitted under the Unit Rate tender form.
