Scope of Work
The Town of Wainwright is inviting Contractors to express interest in performing excavation of specified areas to support the flood control project in the Town of Wainwright on an as need basis.
The description of work is for illustration purpose and subject to any changes. Any questions should be directed to Banner Engineering.
Description of Work
This site requires a company who is able to supply the necessary hydrovac excavation services to support the construction of the Town of Wainwright’s Flood Control Project, within 24 hours of request.
The contractor will be able to provide hydrovac services including the following:
Day Lighting/Utility locates: Exposing sensitive pipelines and utility lines such as fiber optic.
Trenching/Excavation: Trenching and excavation to aid in the installation of pipelines and to facilitate utility and pipeline crossings
Specifications of Work
The work will include supplying and operating hydrovac equipment which will be used to support the construction of the flood control project. The non-mechanical, non-destructive process will be used to excavate and evacuate soil at several crossings throughout the Wainwright area to expose underground utilities as requested by the site Engineer. The estimated construction timeline for this work item is August 1, 2016 to January 1, 2019; Contractor will honor the quoted unit rate for the duration of the construction timeline (no price change up to January 1, 2019).
The contractor shall submit their per diem pricing based on an all-inclusive 10-hour day. This rate should include all labor, equipment, mileage, meals, accommodation, tools, water, and disposal.

Force Account Activities Rate

Contractor may elect to supply their own force account sheet (all-inclusive rates requested, submission of non-all-inclusive rates shall equal to non-compliance of the bid submission).Equipment rates shall not exceed the latest edition of the Alberta Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association rate schedules
