Stop Action Movie using Windows MovieMaker

Directions:

  1. Create a new folder on the desktop; give it a name.
  2. Transfer pictures from camera (or flashdrive) to your new folder using the USB port. Copy (drag) photos to new folder.
  3. To Import photos into MovieMaker:

a)First open windows moviemaker program

b)Click on file- “import into collections”. Click on “desktop” and then open the (desktop) folder with your photos. Select all the photos you wish to import and then click on the “import” button. (all your photos should now be in your collection.

c)Before dragging your photos to the video timeline, you need to click on the “tools” dropdown menu, and select “options” at the bottom. Click the tab marked “advanced”. Next to the picture duration reduce it to .375 or .50 sec. click “ok”.

d)Select all of your photos and drag them to your timeline.

4. To add writing to your movie click on the “tools” dropdown menu,

And then select “Titles and credits”

a)select “add title at the beginning” of the movie. Write your

title. Next “change the title animation” and then “change the text font and color”. When finished, select “Done, add title to movie”.

b)To add writing to your movie, same as 4a above except

Select “title on the selected clip” option.

c)To add credits at the end of your moive, same as 4a above

Except select “credits at the end” of movie.

5. To add music, select “import audio or music” (must be MP3) into

your collections. Next drag the MP3 file down to the timeline where it says

“audio/music”.

  1. When finished and ready to make your movie, click on the “file” dropdown

menu. Select “save movie file”, pick “my computer” ..and then “next”.

Give your movie a name (your first & last name, period). Save to desktop.
