STIRLING OVAL BARBECUE OPERATIONS

1.  Review game schedule to determine number of junior games to be played at Stirling Oval each Saturday

2.  On or before Wednesday, order white bread for the upcoming Saturday from club sponsor Stirling Bakers Delight on 8339-4166. There are approximately 16 slices per loaf. Bread should be collected from Bakers Delight on the Saturday morning prior to the first game.

3.  On or before ______, order sausages from club sponsor Stirling Variety Meats at the Woolies Mall on 8339-3429. Sausages will need to be collected on Friday from Stirling Variety Meats and kept refrigerated overnight.

4.  Soft drinks to be purchased, preferably on sale, from local grocery stores. Watch for sales and if they can be purchased for, say, $.50-.75/can, buy a reasonable quantity to cover an extended period of time. Soft drinks can be paid with BBQ float money with receipts to be placed in the float box. Popular sellers include lemonade, Fanta, squash, Coke/Pepsi and Coke Zero/Pepsi Max

5.  Packages of pre sliced onions can be obtained from the Mt Lofty Football Club, via the BBQ coordinator, Jodie Hone on ______.. Onions can be picked up from the club at Heathfield on ______night.

6.  Other supplies such as tomato sauce, mild mustard, BBQ sauce, napkins, paper towels, foil trays, aluminium foil, dishwashing liquid, chux, serving gloves, etc to be purchased from local grocery stores. Supplies can be paid with BBQ float money with receipts to be placed in the cash box.

7.  The float of $______each week needs to be collected from ______

8.  The BBQ is located in the Stirling Oval changerooms storeroom. The storeroom is the white door in the centre of the changerooms. Team coaches will have a key to the changerooms.

9.  There are two gas bottles in the Stirling Oval storeroom labeled #1 and #2. Use one until empty and rotate with the second. Closest refill stations are Stirling Hire or Aldgate Hardware. Refills can be paid with BBQ float money with receipts to be placed in the cash box.

10.  There is a folding table in the storeroom that can be brought out for serving.

11.  There is a large yellow esky in the storeroom in which drinks should be placed. Ice should be purchased and reimbursed from the float with receipts to be placed in the cash box

12.  Sausages and soft drinks are currently priced at $2 each with no extra charge for onions.

13.  Those handling food should not handle money and vice versa.

14.  At the end of the final game, BBQ utensils need to be cleaned and stored in the kitchen area of the changerooms. If cooking utensils are needed, they can be purchase from grocery store as with other supplies above.

15.  The BBQ needs to be cleaned and returned to the storeroom. The grease can needs to be emptied prior to returning to storeroom.

16.  Leftover uncooked sausages can be wrapped and placed in the freezer of the kitchen refrigerator for use the next week provided they have not been previously frozen.

17.  Any leftover bread can be delivered to Heathfield Oval if the senior teams are playing at home. If they are away leftover bread can be divided up and given away.

18.  The esky should be drained of water and remaining ice with any leftover drinks either left in the esky or returned to their cartons and placed in the storeroom.

19.  Note quantity of remaining supplies and what needs to be restocked for the next week.

20.  The kitchen needs to be wiped down and left in a tidy condition prior to leaving.

21.  Ensure the hot water service is turned off at the switch near the kitchen sink.

22.  The home team coach/team manager is responsible for ensuring the building is locked up after the last game.

23.  After the last game each week, the cash and receipts for supplies reimbursements should be counted and delivered to ______with a signed slip indicating the total cash contained.

24.  To calculate catering volumes, each game will have a combined 30-40 players from both sides plus supporters.
