POLYTRACK (GOOD)

RACE 1 [TF0884]

CLASS 5 POLYTRACK 1200M

DIVISION 1

MUSCULAR SPRINTER (O Placais) and RED GENERAL (I Saifudin), which bumped on jumping, were both inconvenienced when crowded between INVINCIBLE MAN (M Zaki), which jumped outwards and EURO ZONE (M Nunes), which jumped inwards at the start.

TOP NOTE (M Ewe) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

RED RIDING WOOD (App WS Chan), which was slow to begin, was inconvenienced when SUPERTEN (App S Shafrizal) shifted outwards after jumping away awkwardly.

Approaching the 900m, RED GENERAL got its head up and commenced to race keenly when being steadied off the heels of INVINCIBLE MAN.

INVINCIBLE MAN laid outwards from the 700m and in so doing, carried EURO ZONE wider on the track.

Passing the 300m, TOP NOTE checked when crowded to the inside of CASTLE QUEEN (A Munro), which was carried inwards slightly when RED GENERAL shifted inwards after making contact with INVINCIBLE MAN.

Shortly after passing the 200m, AMAZEALOT (App I Amirul) checked when racing to the outside of SUPERTEN. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that INVINCIBLE MAN returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.


RACE 2 [TF0885]

RESTRICTED MAIDEN POLYTRACK 1200M

WEIGHT FOR AGE

(2 & 3 YEARS OLD)

Permission was granted for Jockey K A'Isisuhairi to replace Jockey M Nunes on CONFIDE as the latter was unable to make the weight. Jockey Nunes was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).

After arriving at the barrier, FIRST CHOICE (I Saifudin) had its saddle readjusted.

SIX EMPIRE (A Munro) was difficult to be loaded into the barrier. Trainer L Khoo was advised that a warning has been placed on SIX EMPIRE regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

RIVER FORTUNE (App CC Wong) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped ALRINA (App R Zawari).

PARAGON STAR (R Woodworth) and DREAM BIG (G Boss) made contact on jumping.

RIN TIN TIN (M Zaki), which was slow into stride, shifted outwards and made contact with the hindquarters of ACE HARBOUR (B Vorster) shortly after the start.

RIN TIN TIN raced greenly in the early stages.

Near the 800m, PARAGON STAR had to be eased when momentarily crowded between FIRST CHOICE and SIX EMPIRE, which shifted inwards.

CONFIDE raced wide throughout.

SHOQEET (O Chavez) laid inwards from the 150m.

Over the concluding stages, PARAGON STAR shifted inwards and away from SHOQEET and in so doing, bumped ALRINA, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on PARAGON STAR which revealed no apparent abnormality.


RACE 3 [TF0886]

CLASS 4 SC (C) 1200M

DIVISION 1

YULONG HOLY PRAISE (S John), which kicked the running rail behind the barrier, was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race.

MAJOR TOM (App R Zawari), which was slightly slow to begin, was crowded on jumping between PLATOON (B Vorster) and LUCKY GIANT (App CC Wong), which jumped awkwardly inwards.

JACKFISH (M Nunes) lost ground after jumping away extremely awkwardly.

SOUTHERN MAN (A Munro) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

Approaching the 800m, SING ROULETTE (I Saifudin) got its head up when being eased off the heels of PLATOON.

Near the 700m, NO SMOKING JEFF (App S Shafrizal) checked when racing to the inside of LUCKY JUSTICE (E Aslam) and YULONG HOLY PRAISE. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

SING ROULETTE raced keenly in the early stages.

MAJOR TOM and RUN IT TWICE (G Boss) both turned into the straight wide.

JACKFISH eased when racing tight between LUCKY JUSTICE and YULONG HOLY PRAISE approaching the 400m.

Near the 300m, RUN IT TWICE eased when commencing to race tight between MAJOR TOM, which rolled inwards and YULONG HOLY PRAISE, which rolled outwards. Shortly after, RUN IT TWICE then had to be checked off the heels of YULONG HOLY PRAISE, which shifted outwards when bumped by JACKFISH, which rolled outwards slightly. YULONG HOLY PRAISE and JACKFISH then bumped on a couple of occasions when racing tight between MAJOR TOM and SOUTHERN MAN, which rolled outwards, when commencing to give ground slightly.

The Farrier reported that NO SMOKING JEFF returned having cast its near-fore plate.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SOUTHERN MAN which revealed no apparent abnormality.


RACE 4 [TF0887]

MAIDEN POLYTRACK 1200M

After arriving at the barrier, IMMORTAL LEGACY (S John) had its saddle readjusted.

SMIDDY BYRNE (M Kellady) was slow to begin.

IMMORTAL LEGACY and VOLKS TREASURE (App WS Chan) bumped on jumping. MAJULAH (B Vorster) and SPECIAL RAIN (M Nunes) also bumped on jumping. This resulted in SPECIAL RAIN and VOLKS TREASURE then being severely crowded between IMMORTAL LEGACY and MAJULAH, which was turned inwards when bumped on the hindquarters by SPECIAL RAIN.

EL CONDOR (App CS Chin) jumped inwards at the start making contact with ARIEL (R Woodworth).

Near the 1100m, MAJULAH eased off the heels of KING OF WAR (G Boss), which shifted inwards.

Near the 800m, VOLKS TREASURE steadied when tightened to the inside of IMMORTAL LEGACY, which was carried inwards slightly by MAJULAH.

MAJULAH and SPECIAL RAIN both raced wide throughout.

Jockey A Munro, the rider of CAI POH WANG, was fined a sum of S$500 under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping his whip over the concluding stages.

Jockey John, the rider of IMMORTAL LEGACY, reported that the gelding had returned with its saddle having shifted back during the race.

Trainer L Dragon, when questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of IMMORTAL LEGACY, stated that the gelding, which was having its third start for her, had not finished far from the winners at its previous starts and may have appreciated the drop in weight for today's race. Her explanation was noted.

RACE 5 [TF0888]

CLASS 5 POLYTRACK 1200M

DIVISION 2

GOLDEN ROSEWOOD (I Azhar), which was slow into stride, lost ground after the start after bumping with KING CROSS (SY Moon).

FAST JET (E Aslam) and NINEPINS (M Nunes) bumped on jumping.

Shortly after the start, CASSIS OOLONG (M Zaki) shifted inwards and bumped SECONDWAVE (App P Dellorto).

Near the 1100m, NINEPINS was bumped inwards by FAST JET, which laid inwards.

GOLDEN JADE (O Chavez) and SECONDWAVE both raced wide from the 800m.

FAST JET was held up from the 400m till the 300m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on GOLDEN JADE which revealed that the horse returned not striding out freely.

RACE 6 [TF0889]

CLASS 4 POLYTRACK 1600M

SMART VINTAGE (App Y Salim) and PIONEER STEP (M Ewe) were both slow to begin.

Passing the 1200m, PIONEER STEP, which commenced to race keenly, got its head up when being eased off the heels of BIG BANKER (O Placais). PIONEER STEP continued to race keenly in the backstraight.

Approaching the 300m, SMART VINTAGE had to be checked off the heels of PIONEER STEP, which was carried outwards slightly by KINGS RYKER (M Kellady).

SARAAB (O Chavez) laid outwards over the final 200m.

BIG BANKER laid outwards over the final 100m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on KINGS RYKER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

RACE 7 [TF0890]

CLASS 4 POLYTRACK 1000M

FLYING SHADOW (S John) was slow to begin.

MUSCULAR DRAGON (D David) was bumped on jumping when PERFECT COMMANDO (TH Koh) jumped inwards away from PREMIER FIGHTER (App Y Salim), which jumped awkwardly inwards.

HOSHIKO (K A'Isisuhairi) raced keenly in the early stages.

HOSHIKO, which raced wide from the 800m, had a tendency to lay outwards rounding the hometurn.


Approaching the 400m, BLACK MAGIC (O Placais) and MUSCULAR DRAGON raced tight and brushed on a number of occasions.

SUPERSONICSURPRISE (B Vorster) had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 300m until approaching the 200m and passing the 200m, had to be steadied inwards to avoid the heels of BLACK MAGIC, which shifted inwards under pressure. FLYING SHADOW, which was following, was inconvenienced in consequence.

Near the 150m, SKY ELEVEN (I Saifudin) had to be eased to avoid the heels of FLYING SHADOW, which shifted inwards under pressure.

LUCKY SIX (A Munro) had difficulty obtaining a clear run from the 250m until near the 100m.

Shortly after passing the 200m, Jockey Koh, the rider of PERFECT COMMANDO, had his whip struck out of his hand when racing tight on the inside of MUSCULAR DRAGON.

Jockey David, the rider of MUSCULAR DRAGON, reported that the gelding had returned with its saddle having shifted back during the race.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that FLYING SHADOW returned with a cut on its near-hind leg.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on PERFECT COMMANDO which revealed that the horse returned having bled. RACE 8 [TF0891]

CLASS 4 SC (C) 1200M

DIVISION 2

Prior to the running of Race 8, Trainer D Meagher advised the Stewards that his instructions to Jockey R Woodworth, the rider of HERO CHAMPION, if circumstances permit, to try and ride in a forward position.

Prior to the start, HADES (SY Moon) was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. Acting on veterinary advice that HADES was found to be lame near-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 2219Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

HERO CHAMPION and CATCH ME GREAT (M Nunes) both jumped away awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, NATIVE LUCK (I Saifudin) shifted outwards making contact with the hindquarters of UNCLE LUCKY (A Munro). This resulted in UNCLE LUCKY being turned inwards slightly and NATIVE LUCK having to be steadied when crowded onto CATCH ME GREAT.

BROTHER WIND (E Aslam) and NATIVE LUCK bumped on a number of occasions when both horses raced keenly in the backstraight.

Near the 600m, SUPER BALL (TH Koh) momentarily steadied when racing tight to the inside of SOUTHERN DRAGON (B Vorster).

SOUTHERN DRAGON was momentarily held up making the turn into the straight.

UNCLE LUCKY had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 350m and the 200m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LADRONE (M Kellady) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

Jockey Saifudin, the rider of NATIVE LUCK, reported that after receiving interference earlier in the race, the gelding was reluctant to stride out and he became concerned with its galloping action near the 500m. He subsequently eased his mount out of the race. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on NATIVE LUCK which revealed that the horse returned not striding out freely. NATIVE LUCK, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
