In the beginning Mona lost her lucky hat and went to look in the lost and found at school. When she was looking in the lost and found she fell in and two boys, Wendell and Floyd who were watching Mona went in to save her. When they were inside they went looking for the hat room. The y found a cave with a boat that they used to paddle across the lake to the hat room. In the hat room Wendell was about to sneeze. Mona opened her purse to get a tissue and pulled out her lucky hat. They arrived back to school safely and they all walked home together all wearing lucky hats.
