Position Summary (Brief description summarizing overall purpose / objectives of the position) / The full timeStock position supports the operation of the Visitor Center through the handling of all the wine and merchandise that comes into the Visitor Center and the shipping of all related orders.
Essential Functions (Core Responsibilities integral to the job – must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation. Includes supervisory responsibility, use of equipment, and indication of key contacts, if applicable) /
  • Help lead the stock team on daily responsibilities and completion of tasks.
  • Maintain a stock schedule that provides consistent support seven days a week to include events, concerts, and high volume shipping and visitation days.
  • Assist in stocking the Visitor Center with daily wine needs (including ordering wine, monitoring inventory, and understanding upcoming events and tastings in Visitor Center calendar)
  • Maintain wine inventory levels within Visitor Center, ordering wine as needed
  • Assist with training stock team members
  • Assist with performing physical inventory of the Visitor Center tasting areas
  • Prepare wine and merchandise for shipment
  • Stock wine and product in all areas of responsibility including all concerts and events throughout the year
  • Supply culinary and events team with wine shop products as needed
  • Organize and prepare wine stock and wine bags for club releases
  • Responsible for accurate use of sample sheets
  • Provide customer assistance as necessary
  • Support resolution of shipping issues as needed

Working Conditions /
  • Shift times will vary and will include weekends and evenings

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • Use of hand trucks, forklifts and pallet jacks is required

Qualifications (Minimum competencies required for job performance) /
  • High School Diplomaor equivalent required(Must be at least 19 years of age)
  • 2+ years of stock experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to work weekends and nights and have open availabilityfor scheduling June through September
  • Computer skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Forklift certification is required
  • Familiarity with UPS Shipping and Tracking system
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
