Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems

Why do CMS teachers use SLDS?

·  Access relevant data (i.e. state scores, lexiles, demographics, grades, schedules, etc.) and instructional tools for students, teachers, curriculum and courses

·  Earn additional points for “Exceeding the Bar Indicators” by meeting SLDS monthly usage requirements (see item # 5 for CCRPI)

·  Add additional documentation to support teacher evaluation for TKES Standards 1,2,3,4,5,6, 9, and 10

Here are some ideas to help each teacher meet the CCRPI usage requirement:

1.  Run reports for your RtI or SpEd caseload

2.  Provide updates to inform parents of student concerns and progress

3.  Access student information for groupings with Connections Classes

4.  Develop lessons to remediate and extend learning in classes

5.  Add resources to your online classroom to remediate and extend learning at home

6.  Access curricular support from the state and RESA
