Payment of fees

Invoices will be issued prior to each term and must be paid by the due date, at the beginning of the term.

Kindergarten refundable (maintenance) levy

Parents/guardians are required to pay the refundable (maintenance) levy on offer of a place. Payment will secure the child’s place in the four-year-old (funded) kindergarten program. This payment is retained and deducted from TermFourfees providing parents/guardians participate in specified activities.

Payment will be refunded to parents/guardians on participation in specified activities which includes attendance at two working bees, or two committee meetings, or one working bee and one committee meeting, or being an active member of the committee. Attendance requirements must take place before the end of Term Three to enable the refund to be calculated for Term 4 fees. Families who begin at Yandell Kindergarten mid-way through the year will be offered a pro-rata levy amount and requirement.

The participation of parents/guardians is encouraged by Yandell Kindergarten and can help to keep costs more affordable. However it is recognised that not all families are able to assist at Yandell Kindergarten and these families have the option to forfeit their refund.

Slippers

This fee is charged for the cost of your child’s slippers which are required to be worn during inside play. This amount is invoiced and payable with the Term One fees. There may be an option to purchase second hand slippers at a cheaper price depending on availability. Please speak with your teacher if you would like this option.

Kindergarten Fee Subsidy

Families who are eligible for the Kindergarten Fee Subsidy (refer to Fee information for families) will not be required to make full fee payments.

Child Care Benefit (CCB)

For information on the Child Care Benefit, refer to Fee information for families.

Late collection charge

The Committee of Management reserves the right to implement a late collection charge when parents/guardians are frequently late in collecting a child (refer to Fee information for families).
