TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

FOR AIR CONDITIONING WORKS

1.0.0 IMTENT OF THE SPECIFICATION:

A Laboratory complex is being set up at IFFCO, Chennai. It is proposed to provide air conditioning facilities with Variable Refrigerant Flow ( VRF or VRV) units.

The following paragraphs highlight the technical requirements of the same.

2.0.0 BASIS OF DESIGN:

The air conditioning system for the above areas shall be designed on the following design basis:

Outside Design Conditions / 40 deg C (DB) maximum temperature/ 27.8 deg C (WB) – May.
Inside conditions / 23 deg C +/- 1 deg C (DB)
RH not exceeding 60%.
Areas/ occupancy/ equipment loads etc / As furnished in the table below.
Plant operation / 9 AM to 5 PM.
Exposed roof / Insulated with 50mm thick thermocole or fiberglass.
Power supply / 415 V, 50c/s, 3 phase 4 wire system.

The areas requiring air conditioning and the proposed scheme is as per the drawing enclosed.

To meet the above requirement, it is proposed to provide a VRV unit of 12 TR ODU capacity with 10 nos. of 1 TR and 1 no. of 2 TR cassette units. The outdoor unit and the indoor unit will be connected by means of copper refrigeration piping. The unit shall be DAIKIN,LG,TOSHIBA,SANYO or O GENERAL make.
