Below is a list of formulas, tables and graphics.

Double click on the formulas to view the equation editor. Right click in the equation editor to open the formula menu.

Click on Help – Contents – formulas to learn more about StarOffice Math.

The graphics are mostly obtained using Maple. In this case you can simply copy the picture,

select Paste Special from the Edit Menu and then Bitmap. You can adjust the size by dragging the mouse.

JPEG files can also be inserted using the option Insert – Graphics – From file

(the picture below is an example).

You can insert multiple pictures. To make sure their position is fixed and they don't float around the page it is better to use frames to enclose the pictures. This way titles can be added to each picture. Use Format – Arrange – Bring Forward to move the picture in front of the frame.

Frames are especially important when we want to insert graphics and text together.

We can also put multiple pictures in the correct position without using frames.

Select the picture, click on Format – Graphics – Type -Anchor- As Character

You can check that the pictures below can move vertically but not horizontally.
