T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST

To celebrate the APhA-ASP theme of “Live Your Why” and support the official charity of APhA2016, APhA-ASP is holding a T-shirt design contest. The winning design will be produced and sold at APhA2016 in Baltimore, MD. The winning chapter will be spotlighted during the APhA-ASP Opening General Session at APhA2016 and featured in an issue of Student Pharmacist magazine. Proceeds from the T-shirt sales will go to APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition selected charity.

Design Rules

  • It is recommended your design fit within a 10” wide x 13” high rectangular area.
  • Your design must be original. By submitting a design you are guaranteeing that you hold rights to everything in it and that it does not contain any copyrighted material.
  • Only one design submission per chapter.

Design Specifications

  • It is best if you create your design in Photoshop, Illustrator, or another professional design program. If you use another means to make your design, such as Collage or Sketch, your submission should be a pdf, tiff, jpeg, or png. The electronic entry is limited to 2MB. If your design is selected, a higher resolution file(300 dpi or higher) will be required for file submission.
  • A maximum of four (4) colors may be used in the design – no gradients. RBG colors only.
  • Remember to suggest the color for the shirt.
  • Your design can only be printed on only the front or the back of the shirt.

Submission Format and Deadline

The deadline for submission is December 15 at 11:59pm PST. Entries (the design file and submission form) must be sent via email to .

All entries become the exclusive property of APhA. APhA has exclusive rights to the reproduction of winning entries, and the submitting artists relinquish all rights to such design. APhA will have first printing rights of the winning design. By submitting you agree that if your design is chosen, it can be used by APhA on a T-shirt and other promotional items, including APhA’s website.

Entries will be judged by a panel of appointed student pharmacists, pharmacy practitioners, and APhA staff. Judging criteria may include, but are not limited to:

  • Concept/originality
  • Captures spirit of APhA-ASP and “Live Your Why”
  • Striking, eye-catching, and recognizable design
  • Completeness of design – must be ready for print
  • Feasibility of reproduction
  • Professionalism

Prizes

The design selected will be sold at the APhA Book Store during the APhA2016 Annual Meeting & Exposition. The winning chapter will have their design featured in Student Pharmacist magazine and be recognized during APhA2015 APhA-ASP Opening General Session. The chapter will also receive one complimentary student registration for APhA2016 and 5 complimentary T-shirts featuring their design.

APhA reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any time for any reason. In the event of such cancellation, previously submitted entries will be returned to the entrants and APhA will not retain any rights in the associated designs or exploit such T-shirt designs in any way. The prizes are not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash. The prizes must be accepted as described and as awarded, and no cash option is available for the non-cash portions of the prizes.
