  1. You should have purchased a bound laboratory notebook. Put your name on the outside of the notebook.
  2. You must leave the first two plus pages of the book blank, or use the inside cover of the lab notebook (if it is set up for a Table of Contents) and create a Table of Contents as you progress through the year.
  3. Your lab notebook is a working document and must be completed as you perform the laboratory.

  5. Data (in tabular form where possible) and Observations.
  6. All Calculations must be done in the Laboratory Notebook.
  7. All entries must be done in permanent (non-erasable) ink.
  8. If an error is made, do not erase it or scratch it out. Just draw a single line through it or if it is a large amount of material draw an X through it. (Ex. incorrect word)
  9. Each page of your notebook should be numbered. If you purchased the laboratory notebook I recommended, do not remove the white pages from your Laboratory Notebook under any circumstances.
  10. The following components must be included in your laboratory write-up. The laboratory write-up must be hand written, on a separate piece(s) of paper, NOT THE LAB HAND OUT!!!!!!!! You laboratory must be presented in this order. Credit will be lost for failure to do any of these things.
