Professional Highlights

  • Co-directed Visualize a Future,the Baltimore Museum of Art’s community outreach initiative, funded by a $1.3 million grant from Lila Wallace Reader’s Digest Fund aimed at developing new audiences and expanding access to the Museum’s permanent collection;
  • Led and participated on exhibition planning teams for permanent, temporary, and traveling exhibitions. Served as a national advisor for a variety of museums including The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, The Buffalo Museum of Science, The Museum of Innovation (in Fort Wayne, Indiana), and The Jewish Museum (in New York);
  • Evaluated the Crossroads of People, Crossroads of Trade, an exhibition presented at The Cape Coast Castle and Museum, Accra, Ghana (West Africa) coordinated by the Smithsonian Institution;
  • Responsible for the planning, management, and evaluation of Museum Team, a nationally acclaimed program (1995 National Award from Institute of Museum and Library Services) at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum designed to establish young people as a primary audience and incorporate them in every aspect of the museum’s operation. Also served on the Leadership Team for YouthALIVE!, sponsored by the DeWitt Wallace-Reader’s Digest Fund and coordinated by the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC).
