Day 1: Nov. 2nd, 2016 Tel Aviv - Arrival - Tiberias

Upon arrival at Tel Aviv Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Tiberias (about 2 hours and a half). Remainder of the day is free at leisure. In the evening, dinner and overnight at your hotel. (D)

Day 2: Nov. 3rd, 2016 Capernaum - Mount Beatitudes – Tabgha

Depart after breakfast for a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee (John 6:1, 6:23). Then visit Capernaum where most of the ministries of Jesus took place (Matt. 4:13, 13:54, 17:54, Luke 7, Mark 1:2, and John 4:46-54). Visit the House of St. Peter, where Jesus healed his mother-in-law (Matt. 8:14; Mark 1:29-31). The outstanding remains of the synagogue built by the Roman centurion who was the first Gentile to accept our Lord and Savior. A visit to Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus taught His disciples (Matt. 5, 6, 7, 8) the Sermon on the Mount. Visit Tabgha where Jesus fed the multitude with just 2 fish and 5 loaves. (Matt. 14:13-21, Mark6:33-45 and John 6:1-14).Then proceed for a visit to the eastern shore of the lake - thesite of the miracle of the demons and swine at Kursi (Luke 8:26-39, Matt 8:28-34 and Mark 5). Return to the hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 3: Nov. 4th, 2016 Nazareth - Cana of Galilee - Mt Tabor

Breakfast at your hotel. Then visit the town Jesus lived in -Nazareth (Luke 1:26, Luke 4:16, Luke 4:29, Matthew 2:23), and enjoy a beautiful view from the top of Mt. Precipice, also known as Mt. of Precipitation, and Mount of the Leap of the Lord, believed to be the site of the rejection of Jesus, described by Luke (Luke 4:29, Luke 4:30). Continue to the Church of Annunciation in Nazareth and Mary's well. Here Mother Mary received the good news from the Angel Gabriel. Then see the workshop of St. Joseph the Carpenter. Continue to visit Cana of Galilee – the site of the first miracle of the Lord Jesus, the turning of water into wine at the wedding feast (John 2: 1-11). From here to Mt Tabor - site of the transfiguration of our Lord - and visit the Monastery located on the top of the Mountain. Return to our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 4: Nov. 5th, 2016 Mt Carmel - Caesarea - Emmaus - Jerusalem

This morning we will drive to Mount Carmel, where Elijah the prophet performed the miracle of the fire against the false prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18). Continue along the Mediterranean coast and arrive inCaesarea (Acts 9:30, Acts 10:24-48). Visit the Roman, Byzantine and Crusader ruins including the Theatre and the Aqueduct, where St. Paul made his defense before Festus and King Agrippa prior to his final journey to Rome (Acts 25-26). From here to the Judean hills, visit Biblical Emmaus (ruins of the Byzantine Church) commemorating the events of Jesus seen here after His resurrection. Arrive in Jerusalem, dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)

Day 5: Nov. 6th, 2016 Bethlehem - EinKarem

In the morning, pray the liturgy at the church of theHoly Sepulcher. Then visit Bethlehem, birthplace of the Lord Jesus. Visit Rachel's tomb and continue to the Church of the Nativity (Luke 2:1-7). On the way back, visit the Shepherd's Field (Luke 2: 8-20) where an angel appeared to announce the birth of Jesus. Visit the village of EinKarem the birth place of John the Baptist. See Mary's well where Mary met with Elizabeth mother of John. As you enter Jerusalem, visit the Mar Elias Orthodox Monastery commemorating Prophet Elijah. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem. (B, D)

Day 6: Nov. 7th, 2016 Jerusalem - Old City

Following breakfast, the entire day will be spent in the old city of Jerusalem with visits of the Jewish Quarter, the Cardo - ancient Byzantine Street; the Western Wall, the holiest site in Judaism and one of the original walls that retained the Temple. We will visit the Western Wall Tunnels running along the base of the Western Wall, leading us through the Second Temple era and reveal the incredible construction of the Temple Mount, water supply and the Roman road where our Lord Jesus was led to judgment. Continue to the Pool of Bethesda and walk the Stations of the Cross - TheVia Dolorosa - where Jesus carried His Cross. Visit The Antonia fortress and the Lithostrothos (John 19:13) and finally the Church of the Holy Sepulcher with the Orthodox Church in it (Matt. 27:33-5, 28:10). Later today, visit the Coptic Orthodox Patriarch in Jerusalem. Then in the afternoon, visit the 6th century Monastery at the Valley of the Cross. Longtime traditionsays that from here the olive tree used for Jesus’ cross was cut. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)

Day 7: Nov. 8th, 2016 Dead Sea - Jericho - Mt of Temptation - Qumran – Bethany

Drive along the towards the Dead Sea, at WadiKelt see the 4th century Monastery Of St George. Arrive at the city of Jericho and see the Zacchaeus Sycamore, the old sycamore tree that the short tax collector Zacchaeus climbed to see above the crowds and get a better look at Jesus as He approached the city. Visit the Mount of Temptation, this is where Jesus was put in temptation in the wilderness by the Devil for 40 days! On to the bank of the Jordan River east of Jericho, stop at "Qasr Al Yahud" the site commemorating the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist. Continue driving along the Dead Sea, stop in Qumran - the site of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Return to Jerusalem, and enroute visit the Inn Of The Good Samaritan and the village of Bethany to see Lazarus’ Tomb and the Church commemorating the resurrection of Lazarus. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)

Day 8: Nov. 9th, 2016 Mount of Olives - Garden of Gethsemane - Mt Zion

Another day of touring in and around Jerusalem, head to the Mount of Olives to see the site of the Ascension,the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of Mary's Tomb. From here we will travel to Mount Zion to visit the room of the last Supper (Luke 22) and the house of Caiaphas where Jesus was in custody. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner, transfer to Ben Gurion Airport to board your return flight home with many wonderful memories from this enlightening tour.
