The concert held last Saturday 9th June at Goole Parish Church raised £1000 to be divided between Macmillan Cancer Support and the Spire Community Centre. Our thanks go to all those who supported this event and helped to make it such a success. We thank those who had decorated the church, those on the door, those who helped with the refreshments, those who ran the raffle, those who donated raffle prizes and money, those who helped tidy up at the end, and most of all, those who came on the night. It was good to see the church so full. The audience were treated to a wonderful evening of music of songs from the shows and popular operatic arias by Steven Goulden and his wife, Emma Dennis, as well as piano and organ solos by Paul. The performers received a standing ovation at the end and everyone was full of praise for such a fantastic evening. Thank you all for your support. Jenny Thompson
