St. Jerome’s Pastoral Council Meeting– Joint Meeting with Finance Council

7pm, Mother Teresa Center for Family & Youth – Raphael Hall

Present: Jeff, Brenda, Bill, Amanda, Ed, Richard, Peter, Fr. Raj

Missing: Anne, Emily

  • Bill led opening prayer for Amanda
  • Jeff led reflection
  • Introduction for all present (Finance Council Members, Pastoral Council Members, Director of Religious Education, Director of Little Lions, Sr. Youth Group Leader, Jr. Youth Group Leader, Stewardship Director)
  • Individual Staff & Ministry Reports: Reports were given by all groups listed above to the Finance and Pastoral Council Members. After reports were given everyone left, leaving the Pastoral Council Members to continue their meeting.
  • Old Business
  • Review New Building Regulations and Use – Bill reminded the PC members to make sure to send Emily any feedback or recommendations on the documents shared with PC members at the March PC meeting.
  • Review of PC Retreat on 4/2/17 –It was agreed that the retreat went well. Many thanks to Rose Moyer for guiding us.
  • Assignment of ministries – status of assignments and list – Bill has reformatted the document, will review at the next meeting.
  • New Business
  • Suggestion Box/E-Mail – There was a comment made by a visitor regarding how welcoming St. Jerome’s is. There was a question about whether or not there are any plans for expanding the cry room. After discussion, Father is going to look into the logistics of adding a camera to the main sanctuary that would broadcast the Masses to a closed circuit TV monitor in the hallway outside of the Cry Room. Initial thoughts are that this will be a lesser expense than expanding the room.
  • Discussion of “One Big Even” Pastoral Council Sponsors – nothing new to report
  • Ministry Leaders Mini-Retreat – May 1st
  • Open Discussion – nothing discussed
