The International Eucharistic Congress will be held in Dublin in 2012. It was last held in Ireland in 1932. The Congress will attract many from abroad. Needless to say it will be very expensive to run, especially if the Holy Father attends. So each Corpus Christi for the next four years there will be a collection in each parish to cover the cost. So the collection in Kilbeggan today will be used for this purpose.

End of Year Graduation Mass for Rahugh School will be on Tuesday 16th at 1 p.m.. All parents and Parishioners are invited to attend.

Welcome to the parish, Keith Justin Marshall, Brosna Court , and twins Emma Breege, and Kate Pauline Coyne, Attyconnor, who were baptised this week.

Thought for the Week.

We need not be experts in theology to understand the Eucharist. Jesus invited his friends to a simple meal of bread and wine. As he would give his life on the cross the next day, in that meal he gave himself to them a lasting gift of love. Eucharist means giving thanks.

We remember all the students of our parish who are doing exams. We pray that they may have success in their work and peace in their hearts. May the Lord light up the path of life before them.
