Course Title: Lead Instructor Training for Sprout Safety Alliance

Course Description: This course provides the participant the knowledge and tools needed to perform the duties of a Lead Instructor for the FDA-recognized Sprout Safety Alliance (SSA) training curriculum. The course content is focused on the requirements outlined in the FDA Standards for the Growing, Harvesting, Packing, and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption (i.e., the Produce Safety Rule) specifically applicable to sprout operations, and best practices to enhance sprout safety. Learning Management System (LMS) usage, administrative tasks for the sprout growers’ SSA training course and a refresher on effective presentation for the adult learner, are also covered.

What does successfully completing the SSA TTT Course mean for me? Upon successful completion of the full, three-day SSA TTT course, you will be qualified to be an SSA Lead Instructor. Completing this training allows you to deliver the Sprout Safety Alliancetrainingcourse as a Lead Instructor.

You will receive email notification upon completion of the course with instructions on how to download Sprout Safety Alliance (SSA) Lead Instructor Training Course and Sprouter TrainingCourse certificates.

Cost to attend: The course fee is $579 per person and will be paid through a payment link from IFPTI after registration. This fee includes SSA course fee, manual and certificates, meeting lunch, and beverages/snacks.

Travel:Travel will be on your own expense.

Another SSA TTT course will be held in California on January 10-12, 2017. You may attend the course in California if the location is more convenient for you.

A sprout grower course will be provided in Chicago on November 8-10, 2016, for sprout growers and sprout regulators.
