4) Adjustment sequence of dial gauge

①Set the mode to SET mode.

②Rotate the machine manually until a green lamp on the

front of the sorter is lit (a spring projected at

maximum).

③Secure the sensor to the front side of the spring

(standard value: 5-10 mm).

④Set to zero the dial gauge attached to the rear side of the

sensor.

⑤If "< >" is displayed on the screen, turn the ZERO volume to

- direction and press the ENT key. When turning it to

+ direction and pressing ENT, the "<" and ">" shown on the

screen disappear (if "< >" is not displayed, go to ⑥below).

⑥Set the screen to 00.00 using the ZERO volume.

⑦Set the - sorting tolerance (turn a dial gauge

counterclockwise as the value of the - sorting tolerance

entered). If the value on the screen is less than -20.00,

press the ENT key. If greater than -20.00, set GAIN on the

rear side of the sorter to 50%.

⑧Set to zero the dial gauge (clockwise) -> original point.

⑨Set the + sorting tolerance (turn the dial gauge clockwise as

the value of the + sorting tolerance entered). If the value on

the screen is less than +20.00, press the ENT key.

If it is greater than +20.00, press the ENT key and separate

the spring and the sensor and perform the setting again from ⑤

⑩Set to zero the dial gauge (counterclockwise)

-> original point

⑪Press the MODE key to select

DRIVER 1 or DRIVER 2.

⑫Operate the machine.

⑬Measure the product from the sorter that is displayed as <-00.00>.

If an error exists, correct it using the dial gauge attached to the rear side of the sensor.

◆ Caution when changing a sensor tip

Please grip the sensor tip by hand and loosen or tighten its nut lightly when changing it

(do not apply excessive force when loosening or tightening the nut).

6. Errors and troubleshooting

1) Errorschecks

Error message / Cause / Action
ZERO SET ERROR / * In the adjustment sequence of the dia
gauge, "<" and ">" of "<-00.00>" have not
been set. / * Set the adjustment sequence of the dial gauge
again.
GOOD SET ZERO / * In the program entry sequence using a
keyboard, data has not been entered into
"8. GOOD COUNTER SET [000000]". / * In the program entry sequence using a keyboard, enter a required data into "8. GOOD COUNTER SET [000000].
NG SET ZERO / * In the program entry sequence using a
keyboard, data has not been entered into
"9. NG COUNTER SET [00]". / * In the program entry sequence using a
keyboard, enter a required data into "9. NG COUNTERSET[00].
GOOD COUNTER
SET / * In the program entry sequence using a
keyboard, the value entered into
"8. GOODCOUNTER SET [000000]"
has beenreached. / * In the program entry sequence using a keyboard, perform "11. GOOD COUNTER Clear".
NG COUNTER SET / * In the program entry sequence using a
keyboard, the value entered into "9. NG
COUNTER SET [00]" has been reached. / * Turn the power switch off and on again

2) Troubleshooting

Symptom / Cause / Action
1. The dimension of the product is not the same as the one on the sorter. / * Zero point has been incorrectly set.
* The perpendicularity of the spring is not correct or a vibration occurs. / * With a measuring device, measure the product from the sorter that shows zero point, and correct using the dial gauge for the sensor.
* Resetting of the spring machine.
Prevent the spring from vibrating using a jig (the jig should be farther from the sensor than the spring.)
2. The motor does not operate. / * The thread of the pitch support is not smooth. / * Turn the pitch support manually and set the machine when the smoothest section is obtained.
3. The operation of the sensor is abnormal. / * Excessive force or shock has been applied while changing the sensor tip.
* The thermal energy from the heat treatment equipment affects the sensor. / * Set the sorter to SET mode and move a hand on the end of the sensor. At this time, the value on the screen should be changed (if unable to change, please contact us).
4. The sorting equipment does not operate smoothly or the return of the blade is abnormal / * Foreign material may be present inside the sorting equipment or the bushing of the blade axle, or the return spring has weakened. / * Clean the inside of the sorting equipment and check the return force of the spring.
5. The data of the sorter has been cleared or changed. / * Occurrence of external electrical noise / * Check the ground of the machine.
* Re-enter data after power on while the S button of the sorter is pressed.
