Mishicot FFA Officer Selection Process
2015-2016
The Mishicot FFA Officer selection process has been put together to ensure that those FFA members who truly desire to develop premier leadership, personal growth & career success through agricultural education & the FFA will represent our chapter. The officer selection process will consist of three parts- nomination forms, application form, and member voting which are outlined below:
- Officer Contract/Nomination Form – Officer expectations and commitments are clearly stated on the nomination form. By obtaining your peers nomination you are showing that other members and teachers believe you would be a strong FFA Officer. By signing the form, you are telling the chapter and school that you will accept and withhold the responsibilities and duties of an FFA Officer and understand consequences of failure to uphold responsibilities.
DUE THURSDAY APRIL 2ND 2015 AT 4:00 P.M.
Officer Application – This application gives you a chance to express your background, experiences, ideas and goals for the upcoming year. Senior FFA members as well as Alumni representatives will be reviewing your application. Please be professional and detailed. DUE THURSDAY APRIL 2ND 2015 AT 4:00 P.M.
- Member Voting – The FFA Chapter will vote for the top six candidates at the April FFA Meeting on Monday 4/20 at 7:00 P.M. All candidates and members should attend, officer candidates will be asked to share a quick explanation of why they want to be a FFA Officer.
HOW VOTES ARE TOTALED
Officers will be elected using a SUM OF THE RANKS. Students will earn 1 point for being ranked #1, 2 points for #2, etc. Students are ranked in three areas: senior application rank, alumni application rank and member vote. The three ranks will be totaled and the individuals with the lowest scores will represent our chapter as officers next year.
Serving your chapter is not a position to take lightly. It requires commitment and enthusiasm. Please be prepared to give it 110%
Any questions? Please contact Mrs. Propson as soon as possible. No late applications are accepted.
