Sponsorship Opportunity: Technology Fair Vendors & Exhibitors

IAP2invitessponsors from information and communications technology vendors and exhibitors to demonstrate products and services at its upcomingNorth Americanconference September 28-30 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Technologies supporting all aspects of public participation — including public communication and consultation, civic engagement, participatory design and visualization — are of particular interest.

IAP2 members include representatives from government, industry, consulting firms, non-profits, and academia. The North American conference is an opportunity for members to engage with educational resources, connect with fellow practitioners, and interact with new methodologies. The conference will attract over 200 public participation professionals from Canada and the United States.

Technology Fair Schedule and Format

The technology fair is a track open to attendees during two 90-minute blocks during the conference: Monday, Sept. 29, from3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.and Tuesday, Sept. 30,from 10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Both technology fair sessions will be divided into three 30-minute blocks broken down as follows:

  • 5 minutes for participants to get settled;
  • 15minutes for orientation/demonstration of the product; and,
  • 10 minutes for questions and answers.

Each demonstration area will accommodate approximately 20 participants. Attendees will be asked at the conference to sign up on a board in advance to reserve their spots for the sessions of most interest to them. Concurrent sessions, field trips, and the technology fair are scheduled for each afternoon, giving conference attendees the option to participate either or both days.

The technology fair will provide vendors and exhibitors the opportunity to demonstrate and discuss their technologies, provide case studies or application experiences, and engage with public participation providers. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about a number of interactive products and technologies, get in-depth and hands-on experience, and ask questions.

To ensure we can accommodate exhibitors’ needs, please provide a description of the A/V equipment you plan to use. Vendors are responsible for your own display and A/V needs. Vendors may bring their own equipment or reservations can be made through the Radisson hotel. Screens will not be provided.

Technology fair fee: CAD$500.00

Submissions will not be considered completeuntil payment has been received.

Spaces are limited and will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.There is a maximum of 8 spots available.

Technology fair participants will be provided an 8-foot display table, two chairs, access to an electrical supply, plus wireless internet access in thetechnology fair space.
