Student Scholarship

Sponsored by Public School Employees of Conway

The Student Scholarship sponsored by Conway School District’s Public School Employees will be given to a student who exhibits a strong desire to pursue vocational or educational goals past high school. Promoting a positive and productive learning environment for all in our community, we encourage ALL Conway School graduates with specific and /or strong career objectives to apply. By providing financial assistance, we hope Conway School graduates will pursue the best education possible.

ELIGIBILITY To qualify for the Student Scholarship, the applicant must be a graduate of Conway School District and be a current graduating senior. The recipient must use the scholarship to attend a Technical/vocational School, community college, university, or certified educational program.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

The following information should be submitted in resume form along with a cover letter and three (3) letters of recommendation.

•Cover letter must include:

•Reason for applying

•Short term goals – Educational/vocational goals or plans for next year

•Long term goals - In ten years where has your career led you and how did you get there.

•Financing your education

•Resume must include:

  • Name
  • Permanent Address
  • Telephone number
  • Name of High School
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average
  • School Activities
  • Hobbies, Interests, & Outside Activities
  • Work Experience

•Recommendations must include:

•Only one (1) recommendation from an educator (e.g.: teacher, principal, counselor, etc.)

•Two (2) recommendations from other NON-family/NON-educator sources. (e.g.: pastor, employer, volunteer supervisor, etc.)

•SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The cover letter, resume, and recommendations must be completed and returned to Conway Public School Employees Scholarship Committee by May 11th. All entries received after the deadline will not be accepted. The return address is:
