The Smyrna Yacht Club sponsors the annual Lipton Cup Regatta April 13 - 15, 2018. The regatta typically enjoys participation of Central Florida sailing yachts from Jacksonville to Melbourne. This weekend affair features two days of ocean racing just off Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach. Cocktail parties, a dinner dance, and an awards ceremony also take place as part of the festivities. In addition to the sailing yacht owners and crews, events are attended by many yacht club members from throughout Florida’s east coast as well as local dignitaries.

Smyrna Yacht Club has grown the Lipton Cup Regatta into one of yachting's premier events in Florida.Our Lipton Cup Trophy, which was donated by Sir Thomas Lipton in 1932 to foster competitive sailing in this area, has a prestigious place in furthering competitive sailing in Central Florida.

We offer area businesses an opportunity to participate with us in sponsoring this prestigious event. Your business may benefit from this opportunity by exposure to alarge group of yacht clubmembers, sailing yacht owners and crews.We invite yourcompanyto participate in one of the following ways:

  1. Admiralsponsorsdonate $1000 or more. Theyreceive a full page advertisement in the souvenir journal and a logo on the Lipton Cup page of the Yacht Club’s website. Camera-ready art, JPEG, or a PDF for their page must be received no later than February 16thto insure ad insertion.

2.Commodore level sponsors donate $500 or the equivalent in prizes and gratuities.. Prizes should be quality merchandise, gift certificates or other items compatible with the theme of yacht racing. Gratuities can be donations such as sponsoring the cash bar or providing hors d'oeuvres at an event. Details of the arrangements will be worked out in advance.They also receive a half-page advertisement in the souvenir journal and a logo on the Lipton Cup website.

3.Captain level sponsors donate $250 or the equivalent in prizes or gratuities. Sponsor names are posted prominently on a poster or banner at events. Their participation will be announced at appropriate times during group events. They also receive a quarter-page advertisement in the souvenir journal and a logo on the Lipton Cup website.

Checks should be made payable to Smyrna Yacht Club. Please note Lipton Cup on your check.If you would like an invoice and or a W9 please make a note on the form overleaf. Any excess funds will be used to further Smyrna Yacht Club’s summer youth program or other sailing activities.

Admiral, Commodore and Captain level sponsors will be invited to attend the Friday evening party and Sunday Awards Ceremony along with the sailing skippers and crews. Sponsors are also invited to the All Hands on Deck Jamboree on Saturday during the racing. Logos for each sponsor will be posted on the Lipton Cup page of the Yacht Club’s web site with a direct link to the sponsor’s web site if desired.In 2018 we will be producing a Lipton Cup long sleeved sailing shirt. Every sponsor will have their logo on the shirt and will receive one free shirt.
