On a separate piece of paper (one side only) you are invited to write about any aspects of your life, work, relationships, prayer and the reality of God which you feel are relevant to your suitability to be a Spiritual Director. (It may help to divide your life into phases, e.g. childhood, adolescence, the middle years, etc.) Please also indicate if you have undergone counselling, psychotherapy, etc., and what you have gained from this.

In order to discern the right people for this course, we would like to meet in person with those applying and the days set aside for this are Tuesday 26th April and Tuesday 3rd May 2016
at St James’ House, Liverpool.
To help us in arranging the interviews, please say if either of these days is not possible for you, and if you have difficulty coming in a morning or afternoon.

Deadline for applications is Monday 4th April 2016

Term One:

Introductory evening – Thursday 8th September 2016

Followed by- Thursdays, 10am – 4pm

8th and 22nd September, 6th and 20th October, 3rd and 17th November 2016.

Retreat: 10am Friday 27th to 4pm Sunday 29th January 2017 at Foxhill Retreat and Conference Centre.

Term Two: Thursdays, 10am – 4pm

5th and 19th January, 2nd and 16th February, 2nd and 16th March 2017

Cost:

The fee for the whole course £360, which covers the 12 sessions, course materials and retreat accommodation. The course fee may be paid either in full, in two instalments of £180 or in 6, monthly instalments of £60.

Clergy can use their Diocesan Training Grant and Readers may be able to get help from the Readers Association.

It is expected that all ‘days’ will be attended as well as the retreat which is an important part of the overall course.

Those invited onto the Diocesan List at the completion of the course will be subject to the DBS process.
