SECTION 16020 (26 03 00)

COMPLETION OF WORK

PART 1  GENERAL

1.1  SECTION INCLUDES

A.  Provide all labor, materials, necessary equipment and services to complete the Completion of Work, as indicated on the drawings, as specified herein or both, except as for items specifically indicated as “NIC ITEMS”.

B.  Including but not necessarily limited to the following:

1.  Prior to final acceptance of the work, install, adjust and test all electrical systems and equipment to assure proper operation for the service intended.

PART 2  PRODUCTS

2.1  MATERIALS

A.  Provide all materials and equipment under provisions of these specifications, drawing schedules and submittals.

PART 3  EXECUTION

3.1  GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

A.  Identify all cables in junction boxes with name of equipment served.

3.2  OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS, MANUALS & CHARTS

A.  Furnish all operating instructions, maintenance instructions, literature and information pertaining to all equipment.

B.  Provide three sets of all the above in loose-leaf bond form and indexed.

C.  Demonstrate operation of equipment to Owner’s representative at time of project acceptance. Submit Certificate of Demonstration to Project Consultant counter-signed by Owner.

D.  All above must be submitted and approved by Project Consultant prior to final acceptance.

3.3  GUARANTEES & TESTS

A.  Furnish guarantees and certificate of test for all equipment as listed below. This contractor: responsible for maintenance, parts and labor for a period of one year from project acceptance.

1.  Luminaires, dimmers, wiring devices, etc.

B.  All tests: done in presence of Project Consultant’s representative and submit three typewritten copies to same upon completion.

C.  Inspection and acceptance of the facility by the Owner or his representative does not relieve the Contractor from compliance with the above guarantee.

3.4  AS-BUILT DRAWINGS

A.  See General Conditions and Section 16010.

3.5  CUTTING AND PATCHING

A.  Lay out openings for General Contractor as required. Contractor: provide all openings and close same.

B.  If General Contractor is not properly informed, this Division will provide openings at his expense.

3.6  CLEAN-UP

A.  Keep premises free from accumulations of waste material or rubbish. Leave premises and work in clean, orderly condition acceptable to the Project Consultant. Clean all materials and equipment of dirt, dust, paint spots, stains, soil marks, etc. Any material in less than new condition replaced at Contractor’s expense.
