1. Introductions
Discussed some questions that parents had.
2. Fall Kick-Off Planning
Worked out details.
3. Parent-Teacher Conferences or Open Houses
Discussed adding cookies to our information tables for conference next fall – HOLLY – ask Brenda to assist with finding out what are the dates of fall parent-teacher conferences or Open Houses in August/September. For all the buildings in the districts this year. Holly will add this to the September Principals meeting agenda. HOLLY – talk to the UL Managers to ask them to assist with this. Brenda/Carol – assist with putting together some packets.
4. Open Gym Nights
SCRED PAC host open gym nights for elementary special education students. Music, balls, kids can play and run around. Families can come together. Opportunity for networking among parents of students in special education. Parents will need to accompany their children.
CLPS – Mary will help out and follow-up with this. If Kris can help, she will. Mid-November. 6-7:30pm. Target K-5. Siblings welcome. Email is a good way to communicate. Contact Lorraine Skordahl – Holly put Lorraine in contact with you.

5. Other ideas
-Discussed a support group possibility in local districts for parents to get together – maybe at one of the schools. Maybe meet once a month. Re-visit this idea next year after an open gym night or two. Kris willing to help out with this in CL if needed.
-A winter party.
-Invite paraprofessionals to the open gym night.
5. 2010-2011 PAC Meeting Schedule

Keep the meetings held in RC at SCRED. Hold one meeting in NB.
