ILLEGAL GUN TRADING RACKET BUSTED : 07 RIFLES AND 04 COUNTRY MADE PISTOLS RECOVERED.

A team of Special Cell led by Inspector Manoj Dixit and Inspector Shiv Kumar under the supervision of Sh. Satyavir Singh, ACP/SR, Special Cell, has busted an Inter-State gang indulging in illegal firearm trade. The gang procured country made Rifles and pistols from Etah district of UP and sold them further to criminal elements in the area of Delhi and NCR. The apprehended persons include(1) Quamuddin s/o Lal Mohammad r/o Village Rehsupur, PS Hardwagunj, Tehsil Koil, Distt Aligarh, UP aged 28 yrs, (2) Niyazuddin @ Niyazu s/o Rahimuddin r/o Village Pavi Sadakpur, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP, aged 27 years and (3) Udaibir Upadhay @ Panditji S/o Babu Ram R/o Village Amberpur, PS Jalesar, Distt. Etah, UP, aged 50 years.A haul of 07 country made Rifles and 04 country made pistols alongwith 05 cartridges of 7.65 MM, one Maruti Alto car bearing No. DL6CN-3090 and one Tata Indica car bearing No. UP81AN-0712 have been recovered from the possession of the accused persons.

Operation:An in-house study into the growing use of country made weapons revealed that these weapons were manufactured and supplied from village Rani Ka Nangla in the area of Jalesar of Distt. Etah, Uttar Pradesh and later smuggled into Delhi and NCR. Accordingly, a team of Special Cell led by Inspector Manoj Dixit and Inspector Shiv Kumar worked diligently and relentlessly by deploying informers in and around Delhi, UP West and UP East. After sustained perseverance, on 14.01.14, a specific information was received that a huge consignment of illegal weapons shall be supplied to one Niyazu near Shashtri Park Metro station, New Delhi. On this information, Inspr. Manoj Dixit and Inspr. Shiv Kumar alongwith staff laid a trap near Shastri Park Metro station. At about 09:00 PM, one Alto car bearing No. DL6CN-3090 halted near Iron gate, opposite parking area of Shashtri Park Metro station. After sometime, one Tata Indica car bearing No. UP81AN-0712 came and stopped behind the Alto car. One person came out of the Indica car and gave one bag to the person sitting in Alto car. Both the persons were overpowered and apprehended whose names and addresses were known asQuamuddin and Niyazuddin @ Niyazu. A thorough search followed which resulted in recovery of 05 country made Rifles, 02 country made pistols and 05 live cartridges. One Rifle was recovered from Nizyazuddin and rest of the haul were recovered from Quamuddin.Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 05/14 u/s 25 Arms Act r/w 120B IPC has been registered at PS Special Cell, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi. On interrogation of Quamuddinit was revealed that he procured these illegal arms from one Udaibir @ Pandit Ji R/o Jalesar, Distt. Etah, UP and came to Delhi for delivering the same to Niyazuddin. It was also revealed that within next one or two days the same Udaibir @ Pandit Ji would be coming to Delhi alongwith another consignment. On this information, another team was constituted and Udaibir @ Pandit Ji was overpowered and apprehended on 17.01.14, near EDM Mall, East Delhi. Two country made pistols were recovered from his possession. On interrogation of Niyazuddin it was revealed that he also brought 02 rifles from Quamuddin, which he kept in the fields of Village Garhi Sablu, Loni, UP. On his instance, 02 more rifles were recovered.

During investigation, involvement of some persons of Distt. Etah, UP, as suppliers of illegal arms, has been revealed and efforts are being made to trace them.

PROFILE OF CRIMINALS :

Niyazuddin @ Niyazu s/o Rahimuddin r/o Village Pavi Sadakpur, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP

He was born in 1986 at Village Pabi Sadakpur, Distt. Loni, Ghaziabad, UP. His father is a farmer. He is a graduate. At the age of 20, he started working as a property dealer alongwith his brothers in Loni, Ghazibad. In his office, he came in contact with Quamuddin who has a shop of Battery and inverter at Loni. Niyazuddin came to know that Quamuddin is procuring weapons from Etah district of UP and selling them to bad elements at a price. He purchased two rifles from Quamuddin.

Quamuddin s/o Lal Mohammad r/o Village Rehsupur, PS Hardwagunj, Tehsil Koil, Distt Aligarh, UP.

Quamuddin was born in 1988 at Village Rehsupur, PS Hardwagunj, Distt. Aligharh, UP. His father was a farmer. At the age of 19, he started his carrier as a taxi driver from which he could not earn much. He started to run a shop of Battery and Inverter, which eventually caused him huge losses.During such an economic condition he came into contact with one Pandit ji r/o Etah, UP about one year ago and started delivering and selling illegal weapons. Now he came to Delhi to deliver rifle to Niyazuddin to whom he delivered two rifles about 20-25 days back also.

Udaibir Upadhay @ Panditji S/o Babu Ram R/o Village Amberpur, PS Jalesar, Distt. Etah, UP

Udaibir was born in the year 1963 at Village Amberpur, PS Jalesar, Distt. Etah, UP. Initially he was into farming but could not make enough to earn his bread and butter. He is totally illiterate. Subsequently, he came in touch with some suppliers of country made rifles. They lured him with hefty earnings in lieu of working as an agent and carrier and collecting payments from the prospective buyers. He used to get commission Rs. 1000/- for each rifle. He has delivered 25/30 country made pistols and 7/8 rifles to Quamuddin.

18 CARTONS CONTAINING 1344 QUARTERS OF

ILLICIT LIQUOR RECOVERED

The staff of Police Station Uttam Nagar, West district has recovered 18 cartons of Illicit liquor (1344 Quarters). On this, a case FIR No. 61/14 u/s 33/38 Excise Act dated 19.01.2014 has been registered in P.S. Uttam Nagar.

RECOVERY MADE

1. 10 cartons of N.V. Distilleries containing 480 quarters ( For sale in Haryana only ).

2. 08 cartons of N.V. group Besto Whiskey containing 864 quarters ( For sale in Haryana only ).

Total 1344 Quarters.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION

On 19.01.14 Ct. Rajiv No. 2218/W and Ct. Krishan No. 1285/W were on patrolling duty in the area. During patrolling near Dalmil Road, Holi Chowk, the police staff noticed one Qualis Car No. DL-4C-P-6210 under suspicious circumstances. The staff signaled to stop, but the driver instead of stopping the car accelerated the car and ran towards A-block, Hastsal Vihar, Uttam Nagar. A hot chase was made by the active staff and after reaching near Jai Bhagwan Property Dealer the driver could not ply the vehicle as there was dead end. Immediately the search of car was made and found 18 cartons of Whiskey Besto (for sale in Haryana only) recovered. After ascertaining the ownership of quails, it has come to know that the vehicle is registered in the name of Satish S/o Ram Pal R/o Plot No. 19-B, Aggarwal Colony, Najafgarh, New Delhi who is the Bad Character of PS Najafgarh. A case FIR No. 61/14 u/s 33/38 Excise Act dated 19.01.2014 has been registered in P.S. Uttam Nagar. The search of accused is made but he could not be traced in the area and ran away from the house.

On scrutiny of Police Records, it has come to notice that there are about 20 cases against the accused Satish have been registered in various Police Stations and in most of the cases he has been declared Proclaimed Offender. Efforts are on to nab the accused.

THIEF ARRESTED AND STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED

The alert staff of P.S. Mianwali, West District has arrested a person namely Raj Kumar S/o Sh. Deena Nath R/o C-14, Ambika Enclave, Nihal Vihar, Delhi, on charge of house theft and recovered all the stolen property.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON

Raj Kumar S/o Sh. Deena Nath R/o C-14, Ambika Enclave, Nihal Vihar, Delhi, age – 27 years, education – 9thpass, occupation – Driving.

PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT: NIL

INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION

On 18.01.2014, a complaint was received in this Police Station from Sh. Pavan Chanana S/o Sh. Krishan Gopal Chanana R/o M-116, Top floor, Guru Harkishan Nagar, Paschim Vihar, Delhi, regarding theft of jewellery worth Rs. 10 Lakh and cash Rs. one lakh from his house. On dated 18.01.14 he and his wife had gone out of home for business purposes and when they came back in evening, they found jewellery worth Rs. 10 Lakh and cash Rs. 01 Lakh missing from the cupboard. Their maid Mala was at home in their absence, who informed about the theft. She informed that a person namely Raj Kumar, who works as driver at Aryan Properties having its office adjacent to their house, visited the residence in their absence. She further stated that he used to keep watch at their house.

Immediately a case vide FIR No. 28/13, was registered U/S 380 IPC and investigation taken up by HC Sunil Kumar, No. 297/W. Prompt action was taken and a team comprising of the I.O. HC Sunil Kumar, No. 297/W and Ct. Surender, No. 801/W was constituted, which was working under the supervision of Inspr. Surendra Kumar, SHO/ Mianwali Nagar and close supervision of Sh. Satya Dev Dahiya, ACP/ Punjabi Bagh. The suspect was interrogated by the Investigation Officer. Initially, he tried to mislead the Investigation by vague statements but he was put to sustained interrogation and confessed to have committed the crime. All the stolen Jewellery items and cash Rs. one lakh have been recovered from his house at his instance.

INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI

During interrogation, he informed he belongs to Hardoi Distt., U.P. He is a school dropout. He was not having a permanent work in village and thus shifted to Delhi in search of job. He came to Delhi three years ago and started living at Nihal Vihar in a rented accommodation with his wife. He got a job of driver with Aryan Properties. However, he was not earning much. He came into contact of a girl Mala, who works as maid in a nearby house of his employer’s office. He developed affair with her and started meeting her in her employer’s house in their absence. During this time he noticed that her employer used to keep valuable articles open in house. He started stealing small articles and cash from the house surreptitious without the knowledge of the maid.

DESPERATECRIMINALS WANTED IN SNATCHING & ROBBERY CASES ARRESTED

With the arrest of four desperate criminals namely Neeraj Sharma @ Neeru, Rajeev Kumar, Ravi Kumar and Rinku have been arrested by the police personnel of Sub-Division Nangloi.

INFORMATION/OPERATION

On 18.01.2014, Nandu Rathore S/o Prahlad Rathore R/o R-3/96-97, Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar reported at Police Station Ranhola that he is working as a Tailor in Deepak Vihar, Nangloi, Delhi. At about 9.15 PM, he was he was going to his residence from his workplace. When he reached Gali No.6, Deepak Vihar, four persons cornered him and one of them known as Neeraj Sharma caught hold of him and put a knife on his neck. Other two persons twisted his hands robbed Rs. 15,000/- and mobile phone from his pocket.While they were running from the spot, he caught one of them who was later on identified as Ravi Kumar S/o Suresh Kumar R/o Plot No. 10, Gali No. 3, Panchsheel Enclave, Vikas Nagar.In this process, Ravi Kumar has also bitten the middle finger of the right hand of the complainant. Other three accused persons fled from the spot.

INTERROGATION AND MODUS OPERANDI

During investigation, a police team consisting of Insp. Udham Singh SHO/Ranhola, Insp. Manoj Kumar ATO/Ranhola, SI Pooran Mal, HC Umed No. 250/W and Ct. Vikas No. 3296/W was constituted under the close supervision of ACP/Nangloi and raids were conducted atdifferent places of Deepak Vihar, Vikas Nagar. Ultimately, on sustained and repeated interrogation, accused 1) Neeraj Sharma & Neeru @ Raju 2) Rajeev Kumar 3) Ravi Kumar and 4) Rinku have been arrested on 19.01.2013.

During interrogation, accused persons confessed the commission of crime and on their confession, robbed Rs. 13,000/-, Mobile Phone and weapon of offence i.e. buttondar knife were recovered at their instances.The investigation further reveals that accused Neeraj Sharma @ Neeru S/O Kamal Narayan is involved in many cases like Murder, Snatching, Robbery & Arms act cases and he was the gang leader of this robbery case. Further investigation is on.
