Title: THEIMPORTANCE OF GROWING IN SPANISH- DEVELOPING MY UNIT VISION
Students will need to know the 5 standards of the World Language & Culture Dept.
commonly called the 5 C's, so they can see the importance of learning a world language,
Spanish(el espanol).
- CREATING MY SUMMATIVE UNIT ASSESSSMENT
Students will take a 50 question-Multiple Choice Final Exam, and weekly tests on Mondays.The exams focus on comprehension in context, with objective answers, A, B, C, D
- TRANSLATING MY LEARNING GOALS INTO MINI-LESSON OBJECTIVES
I will review and guidestudent development in the different fields where Spanish has played and keep playing a vital role: History of the Spanish language, Daily Communication (Alphabet sounds, True/False Cognates in English), Spanish words used in English, … (Daily conversations, Military Expressions, Ballet), Sports (Olympics), Business (Translation-NAFTA), Movie (Translation of Sub-titles), Music (Usage of Spanish vocabulary in songs by top artists...), Culinary Expressions, Arts, etc...
- SEQUENCING MY CONTENT AND SCAFFOLDING MY LESSON OBJECTIVES
Students will be instructed through the following sequences based on Bloom's Taxonomy
from the simplest to the more complex lessons.
I will use WEEKLY DETAILED LESSONS PLANS to cover the objective(s) of each
thematic lesson.

5 language standards.

I will administer a DIAGNOSTIC TEST - LANGUAGE SURVEY,
QUESTIONNAIRE or a MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS TEST (25) to assess my
students.

I will develop a chart listing my objectives and my students' names to record
and measure the progress of my class on the knowledge and skills I am teaching
during the semester.
