As an advocate –Neelima Kanetkar is qualified as M.S.W., LL.B., from University of Bombay, a resident of Mumbai, India. She is practicing as an advocate for about last 3 decades, primarily in High court Mumbai, Family Courts, Labor and Industrial Courts, School Tribunal, College Tribunal, other service matters, Consumer Forum etc.

The firm being at a teething stage, renders advice, consultation and assistance in socio-legal fields which includes counseling in pre-marriage, post-marriage, pre-divorce, post – divorce stages and out of court settlements. The Firm functions with able help of associates /specialists in different faculties of law and counseling

Is a Founder member and The General Secretary of an NGO, viz. Aadipath Foundation and Research Centre. The Ngo projects cater to Women and Children with special reference to Prevention of Abuse Trauma at Home. The NGO is at an infant stage.

The NGO is organizing Toll –free Help line. The Help line is a free service for victims in Maharashtra, India, and also for NRIs. Counseling, advice in legal / medical field and to impart information as to available services in the proximity of caller, are the integral parts of this service.

The other projects of the NGO are in relation to conducting workshops/ seminars/ conferences in Pre-marriage counseling, Pre-divorce counseling, Post-divorce Counseling, Empowerment of women, legal literacy, rights of children etc. She is one of the organizers and participates as one of the speakers in such events. These programs are organized in urban as well as rural areas of Maharashtra.

Contribution in other related fields:

  • - Contributes with participation on public platform by presenting papers in National and International seminars / workshops, and in urban and rural India including Tribal groups.
  • - Participates in discussions on radio and T.V. Channels in India,
  • - Was interviewed on Radio in Sydney on Family Laws / problems in India In 2000.
  • - 2008-2009-Participation in 'Bahumadhyam Yatra " organized by Granthali, she gave lectures/discussions and held workshops with DVD presentation on:-

1. Empowerment of Women. This was conducted in several towns and villages in Maharashtra. And

2. Pre-marriage counseling as preventive measures to avoid divorce and breaking of family.

These programs were conducted in several cities, towns and villages in Maharashtra.

As an Author :

Book:- "TICH AVKASH" is published in December 2008 by Granthali. The subject is ACCOMPLISHMENT and EMPOWERING of WOMEN. The emphasis is, on the basis of detailed interviews of women from different faculties, and guidance as to some special techniques of self analysis.

This book is converted in a Talking Book by NAB India for benefit of visuallyimpaired
