Any senior that thinks they are a FACS completer, come by Mrs. Loyd's room to check the list. Also, any senior that is in FCCLA, come by Mrs. Loyd's room to pick up an application for an FCCLA cord.
Congressman Womack will host an Academy Day here at Southside on Saturday, April 7 in the cafeteria. All 5 of the academies, the US Military at West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, the Coast Guard Academy and the Merchant Marine Academy, will be here. Also The Army and Air Force ROTC colleges, Univ. of Ark., Arkansas Tech, and UAFS, will all be represented here. Plan to attend the Academy Day on Saturday April 7 at 2:00- 4:00 pm. and learn more about these opportunities.
ATTENTION ALL 16 YEAR OLDS! It is REQUIRED that you have a Meningitis immunization. You must have your meningitis shot for school attendance. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse.
Congratulations to Southside Orchestra students. Recently, the Southside Orchestras performed at Region Strings Contest along with 23 other orchestras. Both Southside Orchestras earned a superior rating from all of the judges, with most judges scoring the students with the highest possible marks in each of the 15 performance subcategories. Both Southside Orchestras earned a sweepstakes trophy for the 2017-2018 school year.

Maintaining the perfect persona is draining and unhealthy and can lead to stress, low self-esteem, anxiety, and fear.
If you are interested in ways to manage perfectionism, sign up on the Counselor’s Wiki for the March 14th meeting during 4th period.
Seniors in good standing may pick up information and sign up in Mrs. Ferguson's room, room 262, March 5th through March 15 at 3:30 p.m. to audition to speak at graduation. Auditions to speak at graduation will be held April 4.

Scholarships with March\April deadlines:
The American Legion, Dept. of Arkansas, is offering eight $1000.00 scholarships and four $2500.00 scholarships. Selections are based upon American spirit, character, leadership quality, scholastic endeavor, and basis of need.
