YOUTH FOOTBALL

CLUB

2010 Season

To Whom It May Concern:

On behalf of the Southbelt Dolphins Youth Football Club I would like to invite you and/or your business to make a commitment to the children of our community. Our Club is a non-profit organization serving southeast Houston including but not limited to Pasadena, South Houston, Sagemont area, Almeda and Garden Villas.

We provide well structured, adult supervised activities for approximately 200 children in the area. Our program includes full-contact football for ages 5 to 13, junior cheerleading for ages 5 to 7 and cheerleading for ages 9 to 13. The football program includes 4 divisions of 25 participants each, categorized by age and weight. The pee wee program consists of 20 players and is formatted to be “for fun” only. The drill/dance team can have up to 100 girls, the junior cheer squad can hold up to 50 girls and the cheer squad can hold 16 members.

Our objective is to teach the fundamentals of football, dance/drill and cheer to young people in our community. Our goals are to promote good morals, teamwork, good sportsmanship, self confidence and respect. We strive to provide children from all walks of life, the opportunity to interact on the same level with other children from surrounding communities. Positive interaction with surrounding communities generates a sense of pride in a child and also develops long-term benefits that will help them become disciplined and responsible young adults. On the football field or on the dance/drill team a child’s social or economic status has no impact; it’s what's in their heart that counts.

It’s proven that programs such as ours help to prevent problems with our youth that later lead to crime, violence, drug abuse and general lack of respect for themselves and others. We need your support to continue this extremely valuable asset to our community. Please help us demonstrate to these young people that the community does care about them. We're willing to invest our time and talent, now we need you to invest a small portion of your treasure to help us make a positive impact for the future!

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Kelli Gonzalez – President
