South Mountain Schuetzen 2016

Arizona Schuetzen Verein (Cast Bullet Division of AZ Rifle & Pistol Assoc.) is pleased to announce that South Mountain Schuetzen will be conducting Rimfire Schuetzen matches at the Phoenix Rod and Gun Club. Shoots will take place 1/31/16, 3/19/16 and 5/21/16 on the Smallbore Range.

The course of fire consists of 50 shots fired from a bench rested position and 50 shots from a standing position. All shooting is done at 100yards. Participant may choose to shoot one or both events. All shooting will be fired on an official American Single Shot Rifle Association target. (See www.assra.com for more info).

This event is limited to falling block and rolling block type rifles (no turn bolts). South Mountain Schuetzen will have BSA Martini rifles available to loan to shooters who wish to participate, but do not have a rifle. It is requested that those using the loaner rifles use Standard Velocity/Match Grade ammunition in the loaner rifles.

Shooters need to bring eye protection and ear protection. It is suggested that shooters bring a staple gun, rifle rest/sandbags and a spotting scope.
