Programming Funds Deadline Approaching
Applications for Programming Funds for programs held November 1 - January 2 are due on Friday, September 28th! Only your organization's listed Treasurer has access to apply for Programming Funds. If you have any questions about funding please contact Colette r 614-292-8763.

SOURCE fall hoursare8am-9pm Monday - Thursday and 8am-6pm Friday. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

New SOURCE Equipment
New for this fall, the SOURCE is excited to announce some brand new equipment for use by student organizations. We have video editing software available for your use and our friendly student staff can help you learn how to use it. We also have a brand new button machine that can make various sizes of buttons for your organizations. And stop by to check out our new games and additional cornhole sets!

Due to the start of the school year, we will be starting over with our source listserv database. SOURCE Workshops and Programs
The SOURCE offers a variety of workshops and programs to help your organization succeed. Topics include Time Management & Stress Relief, Event Planning, Public Speaking, Robert’s Rules of Order/Running a Meeting, Fundraising, and others. We will work with you to have one of our staff members present your desired programs at a time that is convenient for you.

Registration and Trainings Completed?
In order to be an active student organization at Ohio State, the following items must be completed for each student organization before October 15, 2007:
-Primary Leader/Presidents must attend Organization Orientation
-Treasurers must attend Treasurer Training
-Advisors must attend Advisor Certification (once every three years)
-Online registration updates for the organization’s information in the Student Organization database

------Fall SOURCE points begin on September 19
Every student organization has 1500 points to use in the SOURCE. SOURCE points do not carry over from quarter to quarter, so use them up when you can! Fall Quarter SOURCE points start on September 19.
What can the SOURCE do for your organization?
Copies, posters, buttons, lamination, binders, paper folding, hole punching, business cards, art supplies, markers, digital cameras, video cameras, bullhorns, radios, karaoke machine, popcorn machine, cornhole boards, board games, icebreakers and teambuilders, and more!

II. ORGANIZATION ANNOUNCEMENTS
GESO Welcome Party and Bone Marrow Screening Drive
The Graduate Employees and Students Organization (GESO) will be having a welcome party on Wednesday, September 19th from 5:30 to 7:30 on the Main Oval across from Hagerty Hall. This party is a joint effort between GESO and the National Marrow Donor Program. Everyone is welcome to attend, socialize with fellow graduate students and GESO members, enjoy free food and beverages, and (if so inclined) register for the national bone marrow donor database. Anti-Death Penalty Rally in Columbus
Join Ohioans to Stop Executions for the state-wide Anti-Death Penalty Day of Action on Wednesday, September 26.

Physical Therapy Class of 2009 Run & Walk
PT 5000 Run & Walk in Celebration of National Physical Therapy Month will be held October 6th, 2007 at Fred Beekman Park in Columbus, Ohio at 10:00 AM.

Sportsmanship Council looking for Gameday Ambassadors
The Sportsmanship Council is looking for dedicated members of all student organizations to participate in the Gameday Ambassadors program this football season. We are looking for students who want to help welcome our opposing fans, encourage sportsmanship in our fans and showing the nation that we are the Best Fans in the Land. We are looking for ambassadors to begin on September 1, and to help out whenever you can during the season. If you or your members are interested in volunteering to be Ambassadors, please email Maggie Sweeney () as soon as possible for more information. We hope to see you out there! Go Bucks!

Coke Retreat Grant Application Deadline is Friday, September 21
The SOURCE is proud to offerCoca-ColaLeadership Retreat Packages to registered student organizations holding a leadership retreat this autumn. Retreat packages may include:
· Coca-Cola product
· Funding for food and supplies
· Retreat supplies
· Off-campus teambuilding/leadership experience
Additional off-campus locations have been added to offer organizations more options for teambuilding and leadership experiences. Applications are currently being accepted for retreats being heldOctober 5-January 21.
Applications for Autumn Quarter retreats are due to the SOURCE (113A) of the Ohio Unionat Ohio Stadium, between gates 22 and 24, by 6:00pm on Friday, September 21.

ColumbusReads Looking for Volunteer Tutors
The OSU ColumbusReads Program needs permanent volunteer tutors to tutor one hour each week with kindergarten students for the remainder of the 2007-2008 school year. The ColumbusReads Program is also looking for volunteer substitute tutors to fill in for one hour each week when a permanent tutor is not available.
Transportation is provided to and from the school. Training will be provided for all tutors new to this program. Training begins September 25 and tutors will start October 2.

Student Season Tickets for Men’s Basketball Sold Out, Single Game Tickets Still Available
Ohio State students wasted no time securing tickets for the 2007-08 men’s basketball season. Students purchased their entire allotment of 4,000 tickets at Value City Arena, which is celebrating its 10th season as the home court of the Buckeyes, for the 2007-08 men’s basketball season. Despite selling out all season tickets, students still can see the Buckeyes play this season. A limited number of tickets are available at the student single-game rate of $10.50 for games over the winter break. Those include the Preseason NIT games Nov. 12-13, VMI (Nov. 25 at St. John Arena), Florida (Dec. 22), Coppin State (Dec. 10), Presbyterian College (Dec. 15) and UMBC (Dec. 29). The deadline for buying single-game tickets is Oct. 5. Tickets must be purchased online at ohiostatebuckeyes.com.

Attention Environmentally Minded Students! The Greenbuild International Conference and Expo is THE annual meeting place for the high-performance green building industry. The Student Volunteer Committee of the US Green Building Council's Greenbuild conferenceis coming to Chicago November 7 – 9, 2007.We have a great opportunity for full time college students to volunteer and in return receive a free full registration to the conference. Volunteers are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Sign up for Make a Difference Day 2007
Each year Ohio State students join in aweekend of servicewith students from another Big 10 University. On Friday, October 5, 2007we will be traveling by bus toWest Lafayette, Indianafor our annual Make A Difference Day event. Spend the weekend serving the West Lafayette community and thenheading to the football stadium to watch the Buckeyes take on the Purdue Boilermakers! We will then return to Columbus after the game.

Fundraising opportunity with Buffalo Wild Wings
Looking for an easy way for your student organization to make some extra money? Buffalo Wild Wings is looking for student organizations to help work at their tailgateevent duringevery home football game. Around 30 students are needed for various shifts. It is that time of year again to get your student organization involved in the 2007 Homecoming Parade! So “Lets Go Nuts!” by making your organization’s float the best one OSU’s Parade has ever seen. This year’s Homecoming Parade takes place on Friday, October 19th, at 6:00 PM, starting at the Ohio Stadium and ending at the French Field House for a Tailgate and Pep Rally. So don’t leave your student organization behind, help make this year’s parade the best one yet. The first 20 to register receive free float building materials and a place at the stadium to build on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 entries in the following categories: student organization, residence hall, fraternity/sorority.
