Breastfeeding Support
There is always a trained breastfeeding counsellor at each meeting.
If you can’t make it to a meeting please give Annette a call. Breastfeeding
support is also available via our 7 day a week Breastfeeding Helpline by calling
1800 686 2 68 (1800 mum2mum). Alternatively visit our website for more

Occupational Health and Safety
One of the responsibilities we have as a volunteer organisation is to
do what we can to ensure the protection of the health and safety of
our members and volunteers. When you attend an event or activity run by
your local ABA group, we ask that you are careful with hot drinks around
children (bearing in mind that there will be children of varying ages and abilities
present), and that you take care not to block the exit with prams or other items.
We also ask that you look after your own children and do what you can to
ensure their safety. Finally, if you discover that you or your child is unwell
during or just after a group meeting and may have been contagious at a
meeting, we ask that you let our group leader know as soon as possible so
that those present at the meeting can be informed.

The Australian Breastfeeding Association Breastfeeding Education classes.
The Mornington Peninsula Region hold Breastfeeding Education Classes once a month.
The class costs $90 for couples.

Meeting Program
April 2017 to September 2017
Welcome to the Somerville/Balnarring Group of the Australian BreastfeedingAssociation. Our friendly group of mum’s meet regularly in local areas to support each other through parenting and breastfeeding challenges. The Australian Breastfeeding Association meetings offer intensive breastfeeding support from qualified breastfeeding counsellors as well as friendship to mums. You don’t have to be a breastfeeding mother to come along and benefit from this friendly supportive network of mother’s. Please feel welcome to bring a friend or family member with you- babies and toddlers are included in our plans to meet!
(If you have the time and resources please bring a plate or packet of food to share.)
