Reported that he informed Dott. Pakistan about the activity of SNUCG and encouraged to attend

1) Obtained the reconstruction and rehabilitation cots of SNU from the new rector, these include : The Headquarter , Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Veterinary and Faculty of Medicine
2) Contacted the new rector of SNU to prepare and email some clips on the scale of destruction of all sites of SNU which are helpful for the preparation of the final draft plan for the reconstruction of SNU
3) The registration process of SNUCG to become Company ltd is in progress
Update from Somali Federal Government
Mohamed reported that The SNUCG obtained from the Somali Federal Government an official letter delegating and authorizing the SNUCG to act on behalf of the Government to lobby for the reconstruction programme of SNU
Discussions and comments:
The group highlighted that now is the time to move and fundraise for the SNU reconstruction plan.
The draft plan for the reconstruction of SNU need to finalized with realistic refurbishment and reconstruction costs this can be achieved by visiting the sites.
Data base of Ex-SNU lecturers to continue building and encourage lecturers around the world to communicate with SNUCG through the website: www.somalinationaluniversitycg.com
It was agreed to contact Italian Foreign Ministry – Office for Cooperation for Development, UK Department for International Development (DFID) and Turkey Government -Ministry of Education. The purpose is to support the work of SNUCG and facilitate the link of SNUCG with their Universities.
Before contacting the above Governments it was suggested to write to contact their Embassies in Mogadishu and Nairobi
It was suggested to employ two people to work on the preparation and coordination of the reconstruction programme of SNU.
Summary action points:
1) Registration of the SNUCG in UK
2) Publicise the work of SNUCG through the media e.g. SNTV, UNIVERSAL TV etc
3) Contact Italian , UK, Canada Sweden and Turkey Embassies for Somalia in Mogadishu or Nairobi
4) Organise and International and National Forum for the reconstruction of SNU in Mogadishu and UK
5) Acknowledge the Somali Federal Government Ambassador in UK the work of SNUCG
6) SNUCG representative to visit Mogadishu and all sites of All SNU buildings
