Assignment # 3

Objective

The objective of this assignment is to design Black-box test cases and run such test cases. Use the suggested template in the class to document your Test Cases and results. Review the class notes and Chapter 5 of the textbook.

  1. Startup the Microsoft Excel application and select from the menu “Format” the sub-menu “Cells”. From the sub-menu “Cells”, select the tab labeled “Alignment”. [Total value 50 points]
  1. What boundary conditions exist for the “Indent” feature? Develop Test Cases for the boundary conditions for the “Indent” feature. Show the results of your test cases. [2 points]
  1. What boundary conditions exist for the “Orientation” feature? [1 point]
  1. Create appropriate Equivalence Partitions and associated Test Cases (using the template suggested in the class) for the “Orientation” feature. Run the appropriate tests and show the results. [1 point]
  1. Create a State Transition Map for the feature “Text Control”. Use either notation shown on page 82 of course Textbook. [1 point]
  1. Start the Micro Soft Word Document. Left mouse click on the “Format” menu and select the “Columns” sub-menu. Create a valid set of Black-box test cases that evaluates the functionality of the “Columns” sub-menu. [Total value 5 0 points]
