Social (Community) Outreach Programme

“Service before self” is not just a phrase but a way of living for the staff and students of DPS, Sonepat. We strongly believe in the maxim ‘non nobissolum’ i.e. ‘not for ourselves alone’.

And, hence, to impart a holistic learning environment to our students we have come up with the Community (Social) Outreach Programme. The objective behind the programme is-

* tohelp the students to come out of the four walls of the book to real life learning.
*to create an environment where children will realize their potential
* to inculcate the values of empathy and humanity.
* to make the kids emotionally stable, tolerant and adaptable individuals with sound value systems.
* to contribute to the growth of a diverse yet interdependent planet.
In short to nurture global goodwill ambassadors who will strive to make our surroundings a better and beautiful place to live in by lending a helping hand.

POINTS TO BE NOTED

1) It is mandatory for students of classes VI to XI.
2) The students have to work for a minimum of 30 hours to earn a certificate from the concerned NGO.
3) These working hours will be converted into credits(as 5 marks in FINAL term)in their Subject Enrichment Activity in Social Science.
