Soccer Board Meeting 9/15/08

Secretary’s Report:
· Minutes from the August Board Meeting were reviewed and approved.
Treasurer’s Report:
· No Report
Stratham Soccer Website
· No update.
Rec Soccer
· Players Clinic and Coaches clinic were both rained out. Mark Ruest would not be available to conduct another coaches clinic until November.
· New smaller sided games for K and ½ went very well. Alison Rubin to coordinate Coed 1/2 as there was a lot of confusion at first practice. No master list of coaches and players was available and difficult to place players that had recently signed up or that had not heard from their coaches.
Kindergarten needs 3 more sets of pug goals.
· In an effort to reduce late sign ups next year.
· Send out emails to those we have.
· Post large banner at traffic circle. Letter to be sent to selectman requesting permission.
· Select teams AFTER the players clinic on first Saturday. Will allow more time for later sign ups.
· Review and revise registration form for approval.
· K and ½ will play until November 1. Jamboree to be held that day.
· K – 6 Teams
· ½ - Girls 4 Teams
· ½ - Coed 6 Teams
· Grades 3 & 4 went well first week. Practice schedule is on website. Nets still need to be evaluated for replacement. Will check size and see if their tagged for source.
Too many on the girls teams. Up to 18 or 19 on one team?
· Grades 5 & 6 requested refs for their games liked other towns do. Kevin to check with Dave Bruno to discuss.
Field Rental & Field Lining
· Yankee painted lines at SMS. Look very good. May require painting more than once every two weeks because of rain and mowing.
Travel Soccer
· No update.
