So we are at thestart of a new season! Please read this newsletter as it contains important information.

Many thanks to all who supported the quiz evening either by writing questions, helping with catering or turning up with a team to be bamboozled by some of the questions.

The subscriptions are coming in steadily-thank you! Please remember to pay your membership fees by the end of March if you want to receive the reduction on price.

After Easter we hope that the weather will allow us to resume playing more. Committee contact details are listed below.

Please note that work on repainting the 4th court is due to commence on Monday 18th April so it will be out of action for most of that week.

Club sessions: recommence on Thursday evenings from 6.30 on**7th April(7pm thereafter to accommodate junior coaching) and Sundays from 2-4pm. Floodlighting will be free, with good quality balls available for all adult members to join in-from 6.30. More information from committee members.** might be quite quiet as 14 ladies are away playing tennis in Devon!

Ladies Match Practice: for all ladies who wish to play in our 3 teams, Wednesday evenings from 6.30.More information from Joan(2nd team), Lesley(1st team) or Chris(3rd team)

Mens` Match Practice: Monday evenings from 7pm for all those wishing to participate in the 3 teams. More information from Tom (1st team), Dom(2nd team), Gordon(3rd team)

Beginners/new players: Tuesday evenings from 7pm. A social hit around for those who want more experience. More information from either Dom or Stella.

Adult Matches are mostly played on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from the end of April onwards. These will happen regularly for the Leicestershire doubles leagues until mid July. For the rest of the summer there will veterans matches, mixed matches and ladies Northants league matches over weekends and sometimes midweek.Keep an eye on the calendar !

Junior matches start from the 3rd week in April and are all at weekends.

Junior Coaching which has been at the dome over the winter, will return to the club i on Mondays (4.45-5.45),Thursday until 7pm and Saturday mornings 9-12noon.Junior Club sessions will run from 4-6 on Fridays after the May half term.

From April there will be a calendar on the website giving details of matches and other events.

Wimbledon Tickets: We have now been informed that, as a club, we havebeen allocated 14 pairs of Wimbledon Tickets. If you entered the ballot which was on the LTA website (as requested by the club) you are entitled to enter our club draw for tickets. Shortly, an email will come around from Joan Barrett our club secretary asking for anyone who wants to be considered for tickets to reply to her. If you do this, then you will be entered in the draw for tickets.

Club Clean up: Each spring, we ask for volunteers to give us a hand at the club and have a spring clean. Please can you give us a couple of hours of your time? Also be aware that some courts will be out of action because of this.

Start of season tournament: Sunday 23rd April 1-4pm-all adult members welcome- bring food to share

Open Day: Sunday 15th May 2-5pm. Opportunity for potential new members to meet us.

Finals Day: Sunday 18th September-a chance to watch quality club play 1.30 onwards

End of season Tournament: Sunday 2nd October
