JOB TITLE:Finance ADMINISTRATION Officer

SALARY SCALE:£19,811 - £22,514

LOCATION:BELFAST.However may be expected to travel within Northern Ireland and to the Republic of Ireland to fulfil the requirements of the post.

HOURS OF WORK:Normal working hours are 9am – 5.15pm – Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of some positions, there may be a requirement to work outside normal working hours.

ANNUAL LEAVE:Leave allowance is 25 days p.a. plus 12 Public and Bank Holidays.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

The Job Holder will work as part of a busy and professional team. They will provide a high standard administrative support service to the Unit and Management within Tourism NI.

MAIN DUTIES

The Job Holder will be responsible for the following areas and activities:

  • Cash Management –daily maintenance of the Head Office (HO) and Republic of Ireland (RoI) cash books.
  • Reconciliation of the HO andRoI cash books and posting to Sage.
  • Sales Ledger - processing of invoice requests on Sage andissuinginvoices.
  • Credit Control- following-up on unpaid invoices by issuing reminder letters.
  • Reconciliation of sales control accountsforrelevant month end reports.
  • Reconcilation of accruals on a monthly basis.
  • Provide cover for Purchase Ledger processing as and when required.
  • Any other relevant dutiesrequired by Tourism NI management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA–EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  1. 5 GCSE’sat Grade A-C to include English Language and Mathematics or equivalent

AND

  1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in an administrative role in an office environment including dealing with confidential material.

OR

  1. A minimum of5 years’ experience of working in an administrative role in an office environmentincluding dealing with confidential material.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA - Personal Effectiveness

The Job Holder will also possess a high standard of:

i.Accuracy and attention to detail.

ii.IT/Computer Literacy skills.

  1. Organisation and planning skills including the ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines.

PREFERRED CRITERIA

  1. Knowledge of Sage Line 500 accounting software or similar accounting package.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Applicants must also possess a current driving licence and use of a car for business purposes, or have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the requirements of the post in full.
