Ms. Spahr gave an update on membership reporting that Full members have exceeded their number of budgeted members by 20 and that revenue was at 99% of the goal. The Technologists could possibly fall short by $20,000 this year.

Dr. Brandon gave a brief overview of the Board of Directors discussion during their April board meeting.

The following strategic areas were discussed and several recommendations were made moving forward:

·  What Will the Field Look Like in 5-10 Years

·  Diversity of Membership

·  Maintenance of Certification

·  Benefits of Membership

·  Why Aren’t People Joining/Renewing?

·  Nuclear Medicine “Light”

·  Annual Meeting Program Changes

·  Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Journal of Nuclear Medicine Technology (JNMT)

Outcome from strategic planning session: A new task force was created to review and consider the discussion from the board meeting. This new task force will be co-chaired by Drs. Helen Nadel and Munir Ghesani.

Dr. Brandon posed the question to the group “Where should we go from here”? Guest Mr. Mohammadi recommended looking at the Technologist Section first as Tech’s call has been cut, not many hours, leaving no motivation to pay dues. He stated we need to look at the value of what the society has to offer them. On the physician side he stated that we need to promote within the schools to get the residents more interested. Go back to grassroots.

Mr. Kerr updated the group regarding 4 webinars that the SNMMI-TS will be offering to help bring value to member benefits. Each webinar will offer 1 credit.

Dr. Peterson updated the group that the Molecular Imaging journal is now open access offering a 25% discount to members wanting to submit articles. This could be of interest to our members.

Meeting adjourned 2:15pm
