Sugar Beet Research Grants

2018 Call for Pre-Proposals

Online Submission Deadline: November 8, 2017, 5:00pm MDT

The Snake River Sugar Beet Research and Seed Alliance (“the Alliance”) announces the Call for Pre-Proposals for Research Grants for 2018 that help improve sugar beet best agricultural practices and sugar beet crop quality and performance.

Application Process

The application process for these grants consists of a two-stage process: 1) the submission of Pre-Proposals to the Alliance and, 2) after notice of approval, submission of a Full-Proposal. Thistwo-teared approach will help the Alliance guide and select projects that are of highest interest/importance to the sugar beet industry in the Snake River growing regions. It also minimizes the effort required by research entities in project development only to have the idea dismissed, therefore maximizing the chances of having the Full-Proposal approved.

In mid-November of each year the Alliance will host a Research StakeholdersMeeting. At this meeting the Alliance, researchers, and any other interested parties will meet to discuss pre-proposals submitted. This meeting will facilitate the interaction between researchers and all interested parties to allow the developmentof highly successful pre-proposals.
