If a custom field is required to be selected, entered, etc. we need to be able to indicate on the load file if a custom field is required for input (i.e., in the Load File for the Column heading, we can put an asterisk (*) at the start of Column name e.g. *Color(LIST)). If a custom field is marked as required and the user tries to add the item to the cart from favorite grid, a validation should be done and message should appear to the user that he needs to open product detail page and enter data in custom field. A new column header ‘Required’ to be added on Internal Catalog Overview screen with check boxes, any custom field marked as required will need to contain a value prior adding the respective item to cart. Similarly Red asterisk will appear on product detail page indicating that the custom field is required. Only List and Text type field can be marked as required . On list view & Compare, for configurable item a hyperlink with an icon should appear instead of Add to Cart just like for Bundle Items. On grid view the icon will appear instead of cart icon. If item is added to cart from Favorite grid, error message will appear “Some of the items must be configured in order to be added to shopping cart”. / Catalog Manager, Search Result List View & Grid View, Compare, Shopping Cart, Favorite
On Product detail page, in List custom field the data should not be alphabetically sorted. Instead, it should appear in order of appearance the data entered in excel sheet or item inventory screen. / Catalog Manager, Product Detail Page
When defining the custom fields, we need to be able to add an indicator in the load file on the sequencing of the fields to display on the product details page. For example, if we have two custom fields RAM and HARD DRIVE and we want to make HARD DRIVE appear first and RAM second on the ‘Product Detail’ page, in the load file we can place a number by the custom field in the column name RAM (LIST):1, HARD DRIVE (TEXT):2 New field Sequence No. to be added on Internal Catalog Overview. This will have validations just like we have on External Catalog. / Catalog Manager, Product Detail Page
For the ‘TEXT’ type field, we need to define a TEXT box size to support a large number of characters and a small number of characters, TEXT, MEDIUMTEXT, LARGETEXT / Catalog Manager, Product Detail Page
Currently text custom field gets attached to all items in an excel sheet. There should be an indicator in excel sheet if a user wants to attach it to some specific items only. X will indicate that custom field is assigned and if empty then nothing is assigned. / Catalog Manager, Product Detail Page, Item Inventory

Contract Number & Contract Line Item
When a user defines a punch-out catalog, we will need to add a new field called ‘Contract Number’ and ‘Contract Line Item’ which is an optional field which maps to the NEW-ITEM_CONTRACT and NEW-ITEM_CONTRACT ITEM fields respectively
