Slide 12 - UK Enhancements Overview - HDL Data Loader
Slide notes
You can now use HCM Data Loader to create or update calculation cards for the UK localization. The HCM Data Loader currently supports the following cards for upload:
Statutory Deductions
Pension Automatic Enrolment
Benefits and Pensions
Court Orders and Student Loans
All business objects related to the calculation card, such as calculation component, component details, and associations are available through HDL Data Loader.
Notes
Slide 13 - HDL Data Loader – Calculation Cards Support
Slide notes
Various actions can be taken on those objects I mentioned in the previous slide: for example Insert, Update and Delete.
It is important that you create the files with a .dat extension;
And Because User keys are currently not supported to identify business objects, the records within the file are identified using a combination of SourceSystemOwner and SourceSystemID.
Reports can be setup in BI Publisher in order to retrieve the required ID.
Guidance on how to setup the BI Publisher reports can be found in the whitepaper "Loading Calculation Cards for United Kingdom Using HCM Data Loader" which is available via MyOracleSupport.

Slide 14 - HDL Data Loader – Calculation Cards Support
Slide notes
To verify that the data has been updated, use the Manage Calculation Card task in the Payroll Calculation Work Area:
The validations applied whilst creating the data using HCM data loader are exactly the same as those when you enter the data manually using the Manage Calculation Card task.
However a few of the validations are only applicable during manual entry and it is recommended you run the Payroll Validation report or thenDiagnostic report to validate loaded data.
Notes
Slide 15 - HDL Sample file
Slide notes
Here is a snapshot of a sample metadata file format that must be created for Court Order Calculation Card upload. This can then be uploaded via HDL Data Loader.
Here you can see data for the calculation card, the card component, the component details and also the all the information required to associate the component.
Notes
Slide 16 - Setup Summary – UK
Slide notes
In addition to the standard setup required for HDL Data Loader, you may need to create BI Publisher reports to help you extract the source system references.
Detailed instructions as well as sample queries are provided in the Loading UK Calculation Card using HCM Data Load documentation available on myoracle.support under Document ID 2098480.1.

Slide 17 - UK Enhancements for HCM Payroll
Slide notes
The next few slides give a brief on the added business value of the features in this release:
Introducing NI and PAYE adjustment elements means that
you can make the adjustments to PAYE and NI through elements
that means that the Elements are processed in Payroll so
Balance integrity is maintained
and reporting to HMRC via RTI is correct plus there is
No need to make Balance adjustments manually which can be tricky as there are so many different input values to be considered.
