Skirt Club, a private members club for the bi-curious opens in Shanghai
(Shanghai, China / March 8th, 2018) -- Skirt Club, a private, members only community of sophisticated women practicing empowering, sexual exploration with other bi-curious and bi-sexual women, announces the launch of its new Shanghai affiliate.
Skirt Club Shanghai will host its “Debut Party” atDaliahin Shanghai’s Jing’an area on March 8th at 7pm. The invitation-only, Skirt Club experience will include specialty cocktails and feature renowned burlesque performerLulu galore.
Members will also be treated to an exclusive talk from Founder Geneviève LeJeune, who launched Skirt Club in London in 2014.
“There simply was no-where at the time that a woman could confidently explore her sexuality and feel what it’s like to be with a woman, without wanting or needing to please her male partner(s),” says LeJeune about her reason for founding Skirt Club. “There was also the issue of safety and privacy related to such activity,” she added, “and so it’s been my goal to provide members with the most sexy, luxurious environment in which they can feel totally and completely discreet.”
Skirt Club Shanghai will offer a series for workshops and networking events for professional Shanghai women looking to explore sexually related topics with other women on their own terms, and in the most inconspicuous fashion imaginable.
LeJeune has always felt that sexual confidence is key to women’s liberation and empowerment, hence the Shanghai opening tied to International Women’s Day.
“I am absolutely thrilled about our launch in China for it is testimony to the growing independence of women and their desire to embrace their sexual confidence,” said LeJeune. “The more secure a woman is in her sexuality, the more empowered she feels both in the bedroom as well as in the boardroom.”
Since its UK debut, Skirt Club's locations have expanded to New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Sydney, Berlin, Vienna and Melbourne. Enthusiastic word-of-mouth has driven Skirt Club's thriving attendance numbers, and its parties are now a popular monthly event in most major cities London, while Ibiza’s smashing success in the last year suggests a similar schedule is on the horizon.
LeJeune adds that in order to join the exclusive network, Skirt Club members must undergo an approval process. No cameras are allowed inside the event to uphold the Club's top priority: guest discretion and personal privacy.
