SilverHead League Rules. (FIFA rules apply with following amendments)

1. The game shall be played with 7players, with one being identified as a goalkeeper at all times. The minimum number of players required to start a game shall be six (5) and a team may not continue playing with fewer than five (4) players. Teams not meeting these minimums shall lose the game by default.

2. Substitutions can be made at any point during the game including on the fly. Substitutes must enter the playing area at the center of the field and only when the player exiting has reached the

sideline. Goalkeeper substitution is permitted on dead ball situations only.

3. Visiting team changes sweaters or wears pinnies (dossards).

4. All free kicks are direct including kick-offs, and goal kicks. On all free kicks (including penalty kicks), all opponents must be 5 meters away from the ball. A player taking the free kick may ask for distance in which case he must wait for the whistle from the referee to restart the game. If he does not ask for distance, he may restart the play “quickly” and no whistle is necessary. (As per FIFA)

5. When the ball goes out of play, a regular throw-in (with the hands) is taken from where the ball has left the field.

6. Goal keeper may not cross the center line.

7. Slide tackles are not permitted (note: sliding for the ball, with no players around is permitted).

8. Disciplinary rules:

- RED CARD: the offending team must play shorthanded for a period of 10 minutes. Offending player is ejected from the game.

- Two yellow cards in the same game = red card. Same sanctions as above are applied.

- Red card = 1 game suspension.

= $20.00 fine.

= 2nd red card of the season = 2 games suspension and a $40.00 fine.

= 3rd red card of the season = 5 games suspension and a $100.00 fine. Disciplinary Committee will decide when the player comes back (if ever).

- 3 yellow cards during the season = 1 match suspension.

9. Referee’s decision during the game is FINAL. Referee can change his decision if he realizes that he made an error, before he restarts the play (as per FIFA). (Please don't give him a hard time about that).

10. A cap shall be put on scores to prevent embarrassing a team. This allows the losing coach/captain the option of stopping the game if the differential in goals gets to 10.

11. Scoring: 3 points - Win; 1 point - Tie; 0 points – Regulation loss; -1 point - if a team forfeits the game (winning team is awarded 3-0). A fine of $100.00 is levied against the team that defaults a game.

12. Fighting: if anybody starts a fight, he will be suspended indefinitely until the Disciplinary Committee decides his faith. He may be thrown out of the league.

13. Eligibility:

1. Senior League. No age restriction.

2. Veteran League. Players must be at least 50 yrs old . to play in this veteran league you must be born in 1965. Exception is made for the goal keepers (35 yr. or older), and / or 3 player can be 45 yrs old per team.

If a team gets caught using an illegal player, the team will lose all the points from the games that he participated in. The offending team will also be fined $50.00.

3. Playoff's Requirement. Players must be play a min of 5 games to participate in the playoffs

Note: IN THE EVENT THAT A REF DOES NOT SHOW UP EACH TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE TO REF ½ OF THE GAME.
