This indenture made the first day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six between Clives D. Wylds of the state of South Carolina Barnwell district on the one part and Jeremiah Miller of the state of Georgia and county of Burk of the other part Witnesseth that the said Clives D. Wylds for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid by the said Jeremiah Millar before the sealing and delivering of these presents the recpt. is hereby acknowledged have bargained sold released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain grant sell release convey and confirm untot he said Jeremiah Millar and his heirs and assigns one moiety or half part of the five following tracts of land situate lying and being in the county of Tattnall and state aforesaid viz. all that moiety or half part of a tract of land on the Alatamaha river containing two hundred and eighty seven & a half acres granted to Joshua Ford. Also one moiety or half grant of one other tract of land situate in the said county of Tattnall on the river aforesaid contained two hundred eighty seven & a half acres granted to John Man, Also one moiety or half part of one other tract of land situate in said county of Tattnall on the river aforesaid containing two hundred eighty seven and a half acres granted to John Hill(Hall?), also one moiety or half part of an other tract of land situate in Tattnall county on the said river containing two hundred eighty seven & a half acres granted to William Sally(?) White, also one other moiety or half part of one other tract of land in said county of Tattnall on the river aforesaid containing two hundred eighty seven and one half acres granted to James Martin. Together with all and singular the premises and appertainances thereof and thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Jeremiah Millar & his heirs and assigns in fee simple. To have and to hold forever and the said Clives D. Wylds the said tracts or moiety of tracts of land aforesaid containing together seven hundred and eighteen and three fourth acres unto the said Jeremiah Miller and his heirs and assigns against all and every other person and persons whatsoever, who now or hereafter may lawfully claim the same shall and will warrant and by these presents forever defend whereas the aforesaid Clives D. Wyld on the twenty first day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one, entered into an agreement with Arthur Lott of the said county of Tattnall, whereby the said Arthur on finding the several tracts of land herein before mentioned should be entitled to one moiety thereof with powere to sell the whole or any part thereof An to be accountable to the said Clives D. Wyld for one half the proceeds of the said land if sold and if not sold to be accountable for one half of the land. Now therefore it is hereby declared to the be the true intent and meaning of these presents and the parties thereunto that if the said Lott shall have sold the land aforesaid or any part thereof that then in that case the said Jeremiah Miller his heirs and assigns is to make and execute titles to the purchaser or purchasers as the case may be to the moiety or half part of such of the said tracts of land as the said Arthur Lott may have sold by virtue of the agreement before mentioned on the said Arthur Lott’s paying to the said Jeremiah Miller or to his heirs or assigns the full amount of the moiety or half part of the purchase money for which the said land or any part thereof may have been sold.

Personally appeared before me Saml. Gaslick(?) one of the justices of the peace for said county Miss Jane Thompson who being duly sworn saith that she was present and did se Clives D. Wyld sign seal and deliver the within deed for the purposes therein mentioned and that she together with William Ryan and Reuben Chance signed there names as witnesses thereto

Articles of agreement made and entered into this twenty first day of December eighteen hundred and one between C.D. Wyld of the one part of South Carolina, Barnwell district and Arthur Lott of the State of Georgia and county of Tattnall. That is to say the said Wyld has got five bounty tracts of land on the Altamaha river State of Georgia, granted to Joshua Ford, Jno. Man, Jno Hill, Wm. Sally White & James Martin for two hundred eighty seven & half acres each. Which the said Wyld has this day delivered unto the said Arthur Lott to ablain(?) for the said Wyld and the said Wyld does agree to give him the said Lott one half of the saild lands above mentioned to get the other half for him the said Wyld and when got by him the said Lott is at full liberty to do as he may think proper and to account with the said Wyld for the one half if sold and if not sold for the one half of the land.

We the two parties do bind ourselves to fully perform all the above covenants and agreements or pay to the other party so failing one thousand dollars. As witness our hands the day and year above written.
