Study Suggestions

1.  Redo every example in your notes.

2.  Work examples in the text.

3.  Rework textbook exercises, particularly those that gave you difficulties.

4.  Write the theorems and understand what they mean. Look at pertinent questions in the text that refer to the theorems.

5.  Make a “cheat sheet” that you would take with you to the test IF you were allowed to do so (you are not). This is an excellent exercise in determining what you need to know and helping you remember necessary information.

6.  Review the Additional Resources on the departmental website.

7.  Do the Practice Quizzes and Practice Exams on Angel

8.  Do the Sample Exams from the departmental Website. Try to do the exams with no notes, no calculator, no text in a quiet place with no interruptions. Time yourself. Grade the exam.
